And OMG is there a lot!! I've got a few of the new sets and a couple dies but I need to gather my wits and order a bunch of this - and I am LOVING the envelopes and shimmery card stock! When I get a minute I'll do up links to all my favourites (that might take a lot longer than a minute.....)
ETA - this is only part ONE of the release - there will be more products (collaboration sets etc) released throughout the month, contests, blog hops - all that good stuff!! STAMPtember is ALL month long!! :) :) :)
Just a quick heads up! MFT's Wednesday Blitzday SALE items are up - they are on sale for ONE day only - and these ones are some of my absolute favourites!

Hey everyone! For the first time in what feels like forever I'm a teeny bit ahead of the game and not posting this AFTER the Color Throwdown Challenge has gone up :P. Progress!
OK here's this week's challenge:
To see what the rest of the team created plus if you want to play along check out the CTD blog post HERE <---click!
And here's what I made:
The colors and "back to school" theme of this challenge got me thinking and I remembered I had this Get Down to Business stamp set from My Favorite Things that would be PERFECT for this.
I started out intending to only make one card (the one on the left) but ended up making 2 because as I was contemplating how I was going to make the first card the idea for the second card started brewing so I decided to make both.
I stamped all the images with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto Canson XL watercolour paper and used my Peerless watercolours to messily color them in.
All the sentiments are from the same Get Down to Business stamp set, and I stamped them onto various card stock with SSS Clear Ink and heat embossed them with detail white embossing powder.
I went nuts with the splatter on the inside of the cards (it was fun), then added sentiments and that was it!

I get asked a lot about where to purchase the supplies I use in my videos and blog posts. I list all the supplies I use at the end of my posts (below) or in the description box directly below my video on YouTube. If the product images have sets of letters below the image it means there's more than one place it can be purchased. SSS = Simon Says Stamp, AZ = Amazon, MFT = My Favorite Things etc. Compensated affiliate links used when possible at no extra cost to you. Affiliate linking is what keeps my blog and YouTube channel up and running and enables me to work from home with my kids! I appreciate your support more than words can say!

Hello everyone! I've got video #3 to share with y'all for my AmyR 2016 Halloween Card Series:
I kept this card fairly clean and simple as it's what happens when the lights go out that REALLY make it cool:
How fun is this? I embossed all the images and the sentiment with WOW Glow in the Dark embossing powder so that they all glow in the dark. My kids thought it was pretty cool (I did too LOL).
All these images are from the Memory Box Halloween Sideshow stamp set that I got recently - and when I thought of using them with the Glow in the Dark embossing powder I struggled for a minute thinking how I could incorporate some color. I then remembered I had all these Radiant Neon ink pads which are all pigment inks (slow drying and perfect for embossing) so I pulled those out and started playing around.
I kept the inside fairly simple with a stamped sentiment and spider from the set and adhered the little costumed character that I'd stamped and embossed when I made the one for the front of the card - so it glows in the dark too!

Y'all might remember me mentioning in a recent haul video how the Echo Park ghost die has been eluding me (I've linked to it in the supplies b/c maybe some of you will luck out and get it if it comes back in stock - I've missed it a couple times now with my recent SSS orders! And no I'm not going to try ordering it from other sites - I support the sites I'm affiliated with b/c I love their customer service and the companies themselves all around - that plus shipping from other sites to me in Canada is generally a small fortune so nope).
Anywho - I RARELY (as in pretty much never) use the sticker sheets that come with some 12x12 patterned paper packs - they're just not my thing. However the stickers that come in this Echo Park kit had this ghost so I at least got to make one card with it not needing to have the die for it LOL!
I paired it with some glitter card stock, the SSS Painted Friend die (such a favourite that when I thought I'd lost it in the moving chaos I ordered a second one) and patterned paper from that same kit.
I show in the video the oops I made trying to create my own enamel dots on the textured card stock tag (AKA don't do it) which called for the sequins to cover up said oops!
Of course the whole point of this card was for the sentiment on the inside. Every time I read it it gives me a good giggle - and SO perfect for Halloween-themed cards IMO!

So I did this yesterday, and filmed it b/c I've been getting a LOT of questions about these Nuvo Crystal Drops. Hopefully this video answers the questions y'all have! I'll have a video coming soon using some of these ones after they'd dried, plus a video showing the "oops" I mentioned in THIS video LOL!

That's right!! I've been teasing y'all for the last little while on my social media accounts and now it's FINALLY time to kick off the
AmyR 2016 Halloween Card Series!
I made 3 cards for this first video - and had an enormous amount of fun making them!
I used the new MFT Frightful Friends and Grave Situation stamps and Die-namics - and had to sneak in that Doodlebug Spiders Washi Tape just because.
I used my Mijello Mission Gold watercolours to create the backgrounds for all 3 cards and to color in all the stamped images as well.
All the sentiments were stamped with clear ink and embossed with detail white embossing powder onto black card stock before I trimmed them down with my paper cutter and adhered them with foam tape.
I went all out finishing off the insides of these cards as well:
Are these not the funnest cards ever? ACK!

You can check out what the rest of the team came up with HERE <------click!
And here's my take on it:
I pulled out the new MFT Soak Up the Fun stamp set along with the new Whimsical Waves background stamp - the little monkeys in their "banana boat" was what popped into my head when thinking of what to make with these colors LOL!
I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to watercolour in the background and to color in all the main images - all of which I'd embossed with detail white embossing powder first.
I did a bit of creative cutting along the wave in the background so that I could position the boat "in" the water.
I am also LOVING the black Crystal Nuvo drops to add little details like I did with all the eyes - just a tiny dot made such a big difference IMO!
I finished off the inside with a couple more characters and that was it!

Hey everyone! So I've been well aware that I passed 40 thousand subscribers on my YouTube channel recently (crazy isn't it?) and felt the need to mark this milestone - so stay tuned to the end of this post for a giveaway!
I have had the Lawn Fawn Love You a Latte stamp set sitting on my desk for a few days now along with their Donut Worry set as I've been itching to make a card using both sets. Well today I finally got a chance to do that and this was what I came up with:
This was another one of those times where I had a vague idea in my head of what I wanted to create then it took on a life of it's own!
I pulled out my Mijello Mission Gold watercolours the other night and made some cards with it (which I'll be sharing soon - they might or might not be along the Halloween-theme of things.......*wink*) and as is usual with me I'm back on a "kick" with them and want to use them on everything LOL. So they were sitting front and centre when I started making this card and decided to just go with it and watercolour everything.
I created a more "vintage" or muted look for the background - I didn't want that to compete with the main images - plus I was trying to see how well I could pull of a more greyscale or monochromatic look.
I heat ambushed the sentiment on the inside of the card just so I could use the WOW Metallic Gold Rich Pale embossing powder again - seriously a gorgeous EP in real life! And of course I had to turn my main images into characters with the little faces LF includes in so many of their sets - I just love that about them.

Hello everyone! I had to make another card using the elements from the newest Simon Says Stamp card kit (go HERE if you missed the first card I made with it and HERE if you missed the unboxing video):
For this one I pulled out the Cuddly Critters stamp set and matching dies to create this cute baby announcement card.
I did the most basic of Copic colouring on these little pandas just to give them a tiny bit of color and definition.
Annnnddd of course the scratch off stickers - seriously I am just having a ball with these LOL!
To see how this card came together check out my video below:
Hey everyone! I got some new goodies in the mail a couple days ago - some I just had to have (as usual) and some for the Halloween series that I'm hoping to start working on SOON *wink wink*. I also just got an e-mail that SSS has released 3 new die sets to coordinate with previously released stamp sets (one of which is a major favorite of mine so I'm super excited to be able to get my hands on it) so I thought I'd let y'all know about that too!
And here's what was in the SSS e-mail about the 3 new coordinating die sets:
I LOVE the Sketch Ranunculus stamp set - and have made many cards with it (here, here and here) - and will for sure have to get the coordinating dies for it!
Hey everyone! Just a heads up that I got an e-mail from Simon Says Stamp about the Masterpiece Box - sales for it close on the 20th! After the 20th each of the individual sets/dies will be released on their own schedule (some already have been released, then the rest have release dates all the way up to December - all the dates are listed with the items in the Masterpiece Box on the SSS website HERE).
In case you missed any of the cards and videos I did using some of the sets that come in the box you can check them all out below:
OK I got a chance today to play with the newest SSS card kit (if you missed my unboxing video that I posted yesterday showing all the contents then click here) and here's what I came up with:
I used Distress Inks to stamp the balloon images from the stamp set and then went over them with my watercolour brush and some more Distress ink. I stamped the strings with another Distress Ink (Weathered Wood), and the sentiment was stamped with SSS Intense Black ink.
I am really liking the Nuvo Crystal Drops (you get TWO bottles in the kit) - on this card I used the Silver Mooniest which is SO pretty in real life! I have several other colors that I've been ordering to build up my collection (b/c lets be honest here - it just makes me happy owning all the colors of everything.....) and now just need to make it more of a habit to reach for them and use them LOL!
How FUN are these scratch off stickers that come in the kit? LOVING these!!

Hello everyone! After some computer/internet difficulties tonight (I swear when I'm running behind it seems like everything starts going wrong or stops working altogether...) I FINALLY have my card(s) and video up for this week's Color Throwdown challenge:
I probably (OK I would have) could have had my card and video up sooner if I made just one:
I pulled out MFT's Flashy Florals and Because You stamp sets, and rather than just make one card I couldn't decide on what sentiment to use and wanted to play with this watercolour technique so I ended up making 6 cards:
These honestly wouldn't have taken very long to make, but y'all know me. I stacked all the die cut sentiments 3 times each, and added twine bows and a bunch of sequins:
So really if you wanted to create gorgeous detailed cards you could leave off the finicky twine and sequins and not stack the sentiments and they'd still look great - I just had to kick them up a few notches LOL!
I finished all the insides as well b/c of course I needed to use all those sentiments from the Because You set (that was the whole reason I was making this many in the first place!) and I had to stamp the floral images one last time:
So that's it for tonight! If you want to see how these all came together check out my video below:
