SSS Seeing Stars | Aug 2016 Card Kit | Galaxy Background w Distress Inks

Hello everyone! I'm back again - this time with a card and video. If you missed my posts late last night be sure to scroll down to check 'em out!

Simon Says Stamp August 2016 Card Kit went live last night (see my unboxing video of it HERE), and this is the first card I made with it.

I created a galaxy background using the 2 Distress Ink minis that come in the kit (Chipped Sapphire and Festive Berries) along with Black Soot, and instead of watercolour paper I used the SSS 120# card stock that comes in the kit. I wasn't sure how well my experimenting would work but in the end it worked out OK! LOL

I finished off the inside of the card with a sentiment from the stamp set and then stamped some of the solid star images from the set with the Festive Berries and Chipped Sapphire Distress inks that I'd stamped off once onto my grid paper before stamping on the card stock and that was it!
