Hey everyone! I FINALLY pulled out some of my Lawn Fawn sets today that haven't seen ink yet - and started with one of the smallest (and yet so insanely cute) sets I have sitting here:
This Donut Worry stamp set from Lawn Fawn has to be the cutest thing ever am I right?
I stamped it randomly all over some Copic friendly white card stock then went to town colouring them in with Copics. As is the trend with me - I go in phases with colouring. After the last card I did I was in the mood to use Copics again so that's what I did.
I couldn't resist adding glossy accents to the donut "frosting" on my main little donut character (and how cute is it that there's a little coordinating die that cuts out the donut and the hole on the inside at the same time?).
I finished off the inside of the card with another little donut character (I love how stamping one of the little smiley faces included in the set totally changes the image) and the rest of the sentiment and that was it!

Some time ago I'd come across a random image online of a cluster of dark umbrellas and one bright rainbow umbrella. It was one of those images that "stuck" with me - and in the back of my mind I was thinking how cool would it be if I made a card similar?
So yesterday I DID make the card, and then last night when I went to search for the exact image to be able to give credit do you think I could find it? There are literally TONS of images like that on the 'net - and I had no clue LOL! It's sad I couldn't find it though b/c after wading through the hundreds of images the one I had seen a few weeks ago was a lot better quality (more artistic) than most of what I saw just doing a google search. It was all a good reminder that maybe I should start making use of my Pinterest account again.......
Anywho here is the card I made:
I used Pretty Pink Posh's Rainy Days stamp set as it had the perfect umbrella "top" outline stamp without the attacked handle - so all I needed to do was stamps and mask it off multiple times to create this umbrella covered panel.
The background was done using 3 Copic markers, it was the rainbow umbrella that used a ton LOL!
I could resist embossing the raindrops from the set with clear embossing powder, then added some PPP Small and Large Clear Droplets. Of course I coated the rainbow umbrella first with a coat of Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle and then a layer of Glossy Accents.
I kept the inside simple and just added another rainbow coloured umbrella and that was it!

Hey everyone! It's time for another Color Throwdown Challenge:
This combo is SO pretty - if you want to see what the rest of the team came up with and/or want to play along check out the blog post HERE for all the inspiration and info!
Here's what I came up with:
I did some ombré stamping using 3 different MFT dye inks using my Mini MISTI and a microfibre cloth. Every time I thought about using these Birthday Speech Bubbles stamps I thought how fun they would look stamped in multiple colors - so that's what I did!
I added a stacked die cut courtesy of the new Happy Birthday Die-namics, and did some embossing paste mixing and fiddling too while I was at it. I can't even remember the last time I used embossing paste and now that I've pulled it out again I want to use it on everything LOL.
I kept the inside quick and simple by just adhering another ombré stamped speech bubble and that was it!

Use code PAPER to get 15% off (and don't forget you'll get a free with $60 Die-namics if your order is over $60, plus free US shipping (6.50 discount if you're international) on orders over $75!).
Hey everyone! I've got another card to share with y'all using some elements from the latest SSS Card Kit - I'd posted this watercolour galaxy card not too long ago, then the other night got to thinking about the stencil that comes in the kit and this was what I ended up making:
In real life this card is SO shimmery - it's so hard to pick up on that on camera - thought you do see it a little better in the video.
All I did was sponge SSS Clear Embossing Ink over the Fireburst stencil that comes in the August Card Kit on black card stock, then I brushed various PearlEx powders over them. I recommend and am linking to Ranger Perfect Pearl powders instead b/c I honestly think those work better with this technique (b/c the Perfect Pearls have a binder IN the powder - so you don't need to use any type of sealant afterwards), but I've only got a couple of the metallic Perfect Pearls powders (and the Perfect Pearl one which is a must-have IMO) and I wanted to make these "fireworks" super colourful so I just used what I had on hand!
I also used a bunch of the SS Crystal Reflections sequins - which I can never seem to get enough of. I LOVE these sequins and am starting to run out of them! Will need to add some to my next order for sure.
And as always I finished off the inside with a stamped and embossed sentiment from the Seeing Stars stamp set and a couple more sponged fireworks and that was it!
To see how this card came together check out my video below:
I would consider this a quick and easy card - I'm not even sure how long it took me to make b/c I was fending off a one year old trying to pull open all the drawers in my desk during most of it LOL! Needless to say I ended up splicing together several bits of video footage as it took me most of a morning/afternoon to make it.
Only 2 Copic markers were used on this card - E40 and E42. Like I mention in the video I could have easily just left the main image stamped as-is and it'd still be cute but the extra few seconds of colouring were just fine.
I also coated all the hearts with Glossy Accents - and I can proudly say I am getting SO much better at actually setting cards aside to dry fully when I use GA. I used to be really bad at poking at it to check if it was dry and 99% of the time wrecking it. Or I would inadvertently set something on the card or drop the card and wreck the not-quite-dry GA :P. So I've gone a long time not ever using it and just recently started pulling it out again b/c it really does add something to the card - one just needs patience to let it dry fully!
I finished off the inside of the card with one of the sentiments from the set, and stamped one of the ninja images "sneaking" behind it (LOL) then added one more tiny die cut heart and that was it!

ETA: This set has since been released as part of Mama Elephants Nov '16 release! There's also a coordinating die set so I've linked to the options below! :)
I get asked a lot about where to purchase the supplies I use in my videos and blog posts. I list all the supplies I use at the end of my posts (below) or in the description box directly below my video on YouTube. If the product images have sets of letters below the image it means there's more than one place it can be purchased. SSS = Simon Says Stamp, AZ = Amazon, MFT = My Favorite Things etc. Compensated affiliate links used when possible at no extra cost to you. Affiliate linking is what keeps my blog and YouTube channel up and running and enables me to work from home with my kids! I appreciate your support more than words can say!
Items marked with an asterisk (*) have been sent by a store/manufacturer (with no obligation on my part to use/review - I only use and share what I personally love). Everything else I purchase myself!
I couldn't put MFT's Prehistoric Fun stamp set away until I'd stamped it out a few more times after making this card, and then yesterday I made a second card using it:
I stamped the images onto Canson XL watercolour card stock with clear embossing ink and embossed all the images with detail white embossing powder. After that I coloured them in with my Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush.
Of course I did a bunch of die cutting and stacking and foam taping too, and finished it off with some "splattering" via MFT's Distressed Patterns stamp set that I love so much.
I finished off the inside of the card with remaining images and another stamped and embossed sentiment from the set and that was it!

I know I didn't use any background stamps on this card but this came through in an e-mail as I was typing up the post so I thought I'd add it here for anyone interested!

This week's Color Throwdown Challenge is such an awesome color combo:
If you want to check out what the rest of the team created or would like to play along (you should! It's fun!) check out the CTD post on the blog HERE.
And this is what I created with these colors:
I JUST got my hands on MFT's Prehistoric Pals stamp set and Die-namics and was determined to make this color combo work with these images and I gotta say I had a ton of fun making this card!
I pulled out my Gansai Tambi watercolours to color in all of them, I feel like I haven't used them in a really long time (not surprising when you consider just how many colouring mediums I own......it's an addiction LOL) and these images ended themselves to "simpler" colouring - or maybe that was just necessity on my end. I don't have a whole lot of time to devote to colouring in images - as it was these didn't take very long but they were done in 2 or 3 sittings in between all the craziness with my 4 monkeys LOL!!
I used a lot of foam tape on this one to pop up different parts of it to create a bunch of dimension. I used the new Scattered Surface Background stamp for the first time as well and am SO glad I got it - LOVE it!
I kept the inside simple but still had to complete it of course!

Hello hello everyone! I am SOOOO excited to be hopping along with a bunch of amazing ladies for the release of Simon Says Stamp Masterpiece Box! The box features 15 products from 10 different manufacturers and retails for $199.99. It's true retail value is approximately $210, so there is a savings. However, the box isn't about savings. It's more about about bringing something super special and exciting to market. The Masterpiece Box features new releases from many of the industries finest brands!
Please note that supplies are LIMITED. Once Simon Says Stamp sells out of the Masterpiece Box, they will NOT be restocking. If you want the designs ASAP the box is the only way to get them, otherwise each individual set/die will be released starting later this month all the way to December (there is release info on the SSS site with the Masterpiece Box for those eyeing up specific items).
I already posted a couple cards and video using the new Tim Holtz Crazy Dogs set here. That set has been released for pre-order, and if you already pre-ordered it but want to get the Masterpiece Box instead SSS is letting people cancel their pre-orders so you can order the Masterpiece Box instead.
For today's post I made not one but 3 cards using the new SSS Oh Happy Day stamp set that comes in the Masterpiece Box:
I started with just one card then I couldn't stop!
The first thing I thought of when I saw this set was how perfect the "Oh Happy Day" sentiment would look with my Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink sponged over it LOL! So of course that's what I did with it.
And the inside:
While I was fussy cutting the flowers on the first card the idea for the second card popped in my head. Instead of cutting anything out I stamped all the images onto the Distress Watercolor card stock, embossed them then sponged the ink over:
I splattered some Copic Opaque White that I'd thinned out a bit with water over the panel just to add some more dimension.
I ended up using the leftover piece from die cutting the main panel and adhering it to the inside of the card. I finished it off by stamping the outline flowers with a couple of the same Distress Inks I'd used for the sponging.
Finally card #3 - I felt the solid flower in the set needed some love too - plus I was dying to see how it would look embossed on vellum:
I used all the same supplies as the first two cards except I added vellum:
I finished off the inside by stamping the images with the same Distress Inks that I used on the front of the card, then added a sentiment from the stamp set stamped with SSS Intense Black ink and that was it!

There is TONS of inspiration along this hop (and I am so very honoured to be included among them!), plus if you leave comments at each blog post (including mine!) ETA: CONGRATS to Priscilla Joseph! You won from my blog! Thank you all for your sweet comments! The full list of winners was posted on the SSS blog here.
Hey everyone! I'm popping on here again to share a banner I'd made a while ago, then forgot the pictures on my computer :P. Since MFT's Die-namics sale is still going for a few more hours till the end of today (see THIS post if you missed it!All the sale info plus some of my personal favourites are in there!) so I thought this was a good time to post it!
One of my closest friend's baby girl turned 1 recently (her and my little Gman are a couple of months apart in age) and I made this banner for her.
I didn't use any stamps, just textured card stock and a bunch of different MFT Die-namics sets. I popped up the circles with sticky foam dots to add a little bit of dimension and adhered everything else with my Tomboy Mono Multi.
I created the bows from felt and MFT's (retired) Jumbo Beautiful Bow Die-namics - I linked to a similar set that makes smaller bows, but I've never gotten rid of my set as I use it all the time when making banners like this and love it! I glued the bow together with hot glue and it's used to conceal the ends of the twine where it hangs on the wall.
Buttons are from my stash - I still have a few lifetimes supply of those and still reach for them from time to time!
I sewed the buttons on with bakers twine and used the same length of twine to basically sew all the banners together. It's a little more time consuming doing it that way but the end result is worth it!
Hello everyone! I'm SO excited to share with y'all the big reveal that Simon Says Stamp just unveiled a few hours ago! Several brands have come together in the industry to release this "Masterpiece Box" with a variety of stamp sets and dies that won't be available for individual purchase for several more weeks/months!
I can't even being to imagine the coordinating and work that Heidi put in behind the scenes to pull this off (word is she's been working on this all year - and I believe it - coordinating across this many brands and releases and whatnot would be a ton of work!) but I think it's totally worth it! This Masterpiece Box is LIMITED EDITION (meaning once it sells out it's not being restocked and people will have to wait to purchase the items on their actual release date) and features 15 different products from 10 manufacturers and retails for 199.99.
I have a few of these new sets and have a couple of cards to share with y'all right now, and then stay tuned for an awesome blog hop tomorrow!
I decided to use the new Tim Holtz Crazy Dogs set (I was SO excited to receive that - I had it in my cart to pre-order it LOL!) - which FYI *** SSS started taking pre-orders for the Tim Holtz Crazy Dog stamps last week. Since this stamp set is included in the box, anyone who purchased the box can cancel their pre-order for the stamp set.***
I ended up making 2 cards with it just colouring the dogs with 2 different colors of Distress Ink.
I HAD to add googly eyes to the dogs - and just looking at them makes me smile LOL! The "define normal" sentiment is from Tim Holtz Crazy Talk stamp set - it was too perfect for these cards.
I finished off the inside by stamping the images with the same Distress Inks that I'd used to watercolour in the images for the front and added another sentiment from the Crazy Talk set and that was it!
