MFT Jungle Friends | Color Throwdown Challenge #397

Hello everyone! It's time for another Color Throwdown challenge - and this week's is this:

Super fun. You can check out the CTD blog post HERE to see what the rest of the team came up with and to play along if you're interested!

Here's what I made:

I pulled out the new Jungle Friends Die-namics and coordinating stamp set from the June release at MFT. I LOOVVEEE these dies - they're so cute! 

I had to add googly eyes to the image - and then had to giggle at the final pics b/c her looks pretty much how I've been feeling lately....LOL

I kept the inside simple and just had the giraffe peeking up from the bottom sans googly eyes and that was it!

Quick Tip | MISTI Magnets & Washi Tape

I have been getting a lot of questions about the washi tape on my MISTI magnets that people see in recent videos - funny thing is I filmed this Quick Tip video when I first put it on. I just hadn't got to uploading and posting the video 'till now.

SSS Spring Floral Shapes Dies | Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen Watercolor

Hello everyone! I finally got these cards finished - I started them a couple of days ago and have been working on a million things at once here. That's pretty much my life on the daily though LOL! 

Anywho I got them done, and only lost one small stamped flower in the process (it's still MIA). I used last week's Color Throwdown challenge for the colors - I just loved the combo and had to make something else using it:

I showed the new SSS Spring Floral Shapes dies in a recent haul video - I didn't even bother putting them away after I got them as I KNEW I had to use them ASAP. 

I also used some of my new Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens to watercolor all the images with. I am LOVING these - so pretty and so sparkly!

I also cleared up any confusion after my last sequin-free card and used a bunch on both of these LOL!

You can see the one inside is missing it's little flower. I've been really bad lately with losing things - usually small stamps and random tools. So far I've found everything that has walked off but this little flower is still eluding me - and editing the video and seeing it IN the video but nowhere on my desk was just aggravating LOL!

PPP Rainbow Tabs Card | Distress Inks

It's raining as I type up this post, and lately it's rained on and off and we've seen a LOT of rainbows - which suits me just fine b/c y'all know I love rainbow color schemes. Case in point my last post.

Today's card is much quicker/easier - and super bright and fun:

I used the Stitched Tabs Dies from Pretty Pink Posh and was totally inspired by one of the same cards she has posted on her website. It's been in the back of my mind for some time now and without looking at it again (b/c I didn't want to CASE it outright and hoped to put my own spin on it!) I made my card.

I did a buch of sponging with Distress Inks (I just LOVE these colors - love love LOVE!) over the die cut tabs then sprayed them all with my Distress Sprayer - another MUST have tool IMO!

I kept the inside clean and simple and that was it!

Big June SALE on Craftsy Classes!

Hey everyone! I thought I'd pop on here quick and give y'all a heads up that Craftsy is having a big SALE on all their classes this weekend! It runs from now 'till June 13.

MFT Magical Unicorns | Copics | Magnets & Cards

Ooohhhh I am SO excited to finally be getting this post up - I've been itching to use the MFT Magical Unicorns stamp set from the second I laid eyes on it! 

Since I couldn't just make a couple of Unicorns I used them ALL multiple times - I made a set of magnets with the first batch:

I am really enjoying having that Xyron Creative Station Lite! LOL I want to run everything through that machine now ;). I ran these through with the magnet cartridge then die cut them with the Magical Unicorn Die-namics and now I've got these adorable magnets to play with (did I say I was giving them to Katelyn?...... ;)).

Anywho - after making those I made a couple of cards with the rest of the images I'd coloured up:

I used a bunch of different Copic markers to color in all the images - I HAD to make them all rainbow manes and tails - there was no other way.

It's hard to tell in the pictures but I coated all the stamped images with my Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen - that just took them all to the next level and it's SOOOO sparkly in real life!

I used Distress Inks to sponge the background - which I'd die cut with MFT's Stitched Cloud Edges Die-namics.

I finished off the inside with more sparkly unicorns and stamped sentiments from the stamp set and that was it!

Simon Says Stamp Haul #36

Hello everyone! I've said it many many many times before that stamping is cheaper than therapy, but I'm not going to lie and say shopping for stamping goodies isn't therapy in itself...... LOL!

I had 2 separate Simon Says Stamp orders show up in the last little while, and the one sat here in the studio while I've been sick and busy and just dealing with life (that plus I've developed a bit of OCD where I can't break open and use any of my new goodies until I've filmed the haul video to share with all of you). MFT Funky Flowers | Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers | Color Throwdown #396

Hello everyone! It's time for another Color Throwdown challenge - and this one is FABULOUS:

I have SO many cards I want to make with this combo - literally have 2 or 3 other ones in my head right now. I need more hours in the day...

Anywho I got one done for the challenge so here it is:

I used some new stamps and dies from MFT's June release - SO many awesome products released this month! 

I did some masking and stamped and embossed the floral images from the new Funky Florals stamp set onto watercolour card stock then coloured them in with my Clean Color Real Brush markers. It's hard to tell in the picture but I added just a little Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay sparkle to them as well.

The "grateful" is from the new Grateful For you stamp and Die-namics set - I die cut it several times from Black Licorice card stock then stacked them together before adhering it to the card.

I finished off the inside of the card with a sentiment from the same set, then stamped the same florals with VersaMark to create a tone on tone effect and that was it!

MFT Modern Mosiac Hello | Mission Gold Watercolors

Hello all! I've got a MILLION things on my plate at the moment - but I can check off this card at the very least LOL! I have had the idea for it in the back of my mind for a while now, so amongst doing all the things I sat down for a bit and played with the MFT Modern Mosaic background stamp and my Mission Gold watercolours. 

This was the end result:

I went SUPER bright with this one - I've been wanting to use that crazy bright pink in the Mission Gold set ever since I got it so that was the first color I started with.

I stacked 3 die cut "hello"s together and coated them with some Spectrum Noir Pink Garnet Sparkle, which I backed with some vellum and added some die cut fishtail flags.

I used the leftover strip of the watercolored background on the inside of the card and added a small strip of the black and white patterned paper to finish it off and that was it!
