Hello everyone!! I am SOOOOO excited to share this post with y'all. Recently Xyron reached out to me and wanted to know if I'd be interested in trying out their new Creative Station Lite machine - and of course I said yes. I've had my little Xyron X sticker maker for years, and showed it in a recent video. I've always wanted one of the larger machines - and now I have one!
***make sure to check out the end of the post b/c there's a GIVEAWAY that you don't want to miss out on***
You'll be seeing it used in other ways in future videos - but for today's video I decided to make some fun magnets. I've had a LOT of you asking when I'd use the new pony/unicorn stamps by The Greeting Farm - so I pulled those out and decided to try out making them into magnets for Katelyn:
I don't want to sound like a paid advertisement (b/c I'm not getting paid to say anything! All the commentary and thoughts are my own) but I am REALLY liking this machine. I didn't realize it worked exactly like the little X I already had until I pulled it out and started using it. I've avoided getting into a lot of other "machines" out there because I don't have the time or energy to figure them out LOL! This was so simple though that I am kicking myself for not getting myself a larger one years ago.
I stamped these images onto Neenah Solar White 110lb card stock with SSS Intense Black ink and coloured them all in with Copics. I couldn't resist adding sparkle to them when I was done so I coated them all generously with my Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay before I ran them through the Xyron.
I wasn't even sure when I was making these if the dies would cut through all the layers with the magnet on the back of these - but success! So now K has these fun little magnets - and funny thing she doesn't use them as magnets she carries them around in her little purse and pulls them out to play with them :P. Maybe once I make her some more (because I ordered the coordinating dies for the other TGF set - I linked to them in the supplies) she'll have fun playing with them on the fridge like she does all my other magnets. Or maybe she'll just carry them around in her purse and whatever floats her boat. She loves them and I had fun making them so it's win win in my book.
