Hey everyone! I am SOOOO excited to be participating in this blog hop! Literally bouncing in my chair as I type this up LOL!
To celebrate Simon Says Stamp's newest release - Spring Plush - a bunch of awesome peeps are sharing their fabulous creations using these new dies and felt and stamp set. Make sure you check them all out b/c the peeks I've seen on social media so far have been amazing!
ALSO make sure you're leaving comments on all the blog posts in the hop (including this one!) as SSS is generously giving away a Simon Goody Bag to one lucky commenter on each stop on the hop! (winners will be drawn on Monday March 7, 2016)
If you missed any of the stops on the hop you can find the list with links at the SSS blog post HERE.
OK on to my project - I honestly couldn't narrow down what to make with the dies I had - I made a lot more than the fun chicken shakers I'm showing y'all here but I'll save the rest for another day!
While I've been loving die cutting SSS's new felt (I kid you not when I rave about it in the video - their felt really does die cut like a dream, I have some 100% wool felt in my stash and it just doesn't cut near as nice as the SSS kind does), I wanted to try something else. So I used vellum and made a pair of "Shaker Chickens".
I wasn't too sure where I was going when I started making them but once the first one took shape the second one took no time at all to complete (and I guess I'll have to make a 3rd as my oldest laid claim to one already and I thought she wouldn't be interested - turns out she loved it so score one for me!).
