Hello everyone! Last week was my oldest daughter's birthday, and since this week's Color Throwdown challenge was the in the color scheme I was planning on for her card (so nice when life works out like that LOL) I saved this to share with the challenge.
Here's this week's challenge:
I went a little more aqua-blue with my card as I didn't really have a color closer to the challenge one (which was a little surprising as I have SO many colors of ink and card stock - proof that it's never enough!). I also decided to make a full sized shaker card:
I created the cell phone with MFT's Smart Phone Die-namics, and stamped all the sentiments with the Friend Request stamp set.
I contemplated inserting the phone into the shaker card itself but liked it better on the outside so that all the shaker pieces were in the "background".
For the back of the card I created the "sentiment" using a bunch of different MFT Die-namics sets. I originally planned on writing something there and then sealing it into the shaker card but then going through my die sets the idea started to form and I made what you see here :).
This was SUCH a fun card to make - even with all the oops (I talk about it in the video), and now I know for sure that actual glitter WILL sift out of these pockets made with the fuse tool - I had assumed as much but now I can say it's a definite thing LOL! Though she didn't mind that in the least - I'm just telling y'all b/c I know how some people feel about glitter ;) ;).

Also before I forget - MFT's March release just went live a couple of hours ago! All the new stamps/die-namics/patterned papers/stencils etc are now available plus they've got a bunch of other new interesting goodies in there as well! You can find them all in their new section HERE <-----click!
