Hey everyone!
The latest Color Throwdown challenge just went live:
And this time I didn't go literal with the inspiration picture LOL!
I ended up making 2 cards since I stamped all the images from the new MFT Recipe For Happiness stamp set and couldn't decide on which chef to use - so I coloured them all.
I stamped all the images onto Neenah Solar White 110b card stock with the new Simon Says Stamp Intense Black ink - this new ink is meant for colouring with alcohol-based markers and after using it on all these images I think it's a good one!
The background on the first card was stamped with Hero Arts Unicorn White pigment ink - not new on the market but new to me - it's another great ink. If you don't own a white pigment ink pad I highly recommend that one.
It really has been a long time since I've used Copics - during the process of colouring these images I dried out 2 markers - which isn't bad considering I've had them for around 10 years now. Of course it sucks b/c I don't have refills for either of them and Copics and refills are hard to come by right now (there was the earthquake in Japan last year and the huge strike at the docks in the US and it set back a lot of production and supply for a lot of companies - Copic being one of them - so they're saying it'll be later on this year before stock on the markers and refills will be replenished at retailers).
Anywho - I got them all coloured and used every image from the set except the frying pan LOL!
I finished the insides of the cards with the 2 remaining chef's and added the one coordinating sentiment and that was it!
