Are y'all shocked that I have yet another post with yet another card? I'm finally getting back to being able to create here and there on a more regular basis and posting on here as often as I can! :)
I had some time this morning to "play" - and decided to pull out my Zig Clean Color markers and try them out for the first time. I Periscoped my attempts - LOL it took a few tries as my little Gman still isn't feeling well and didn't appreciate not having my full attention *wink*. I had to halt the attempts a few times so that he could be held, and cuddled, and allowed to play with the packaging of things in reach LOL.
I had a bit of difficulty with the markers - but I'm chalking that up to the paper I used (Ranger watercolour card stock - I love that stuff for other things but it doesn't work well with these markers!). Now that I know that I'm going to try something else (it's been mentioned that Bristol Smooth White card stock by Strathmore is the BEST to use with the Clean Color markers - and I just happened to have some in my stash so I'll be testing that next).
Anywho - even with my difficulties and needing to toss the first attempt I finished the second one and made it into a card:
This is a 4-bar size card.
I used Liquid Frisket and my Molotow marker to mask off the images (see my previous post for all the info on that) then watercolored the background. After it was dry I rubbed off the frisket and watercolored the images with the Clean Color markers and a water brush.
I had a bit of bleeding and a bit of trouble moving the color - but that's where I chalk it up to the card stock I used. Since I put in the time and effort I thought I'd finish the card and share it with y'all anyway (b/c in my world right now time is a premium commodity - ESPECIALLY crafting time).
I finished off the inside of the card with a stamped sentiment from the set and stamped the hearts with Wild Cherry dye ink - the last one being stamped multiple times without reinking it so it faded off towards the top, and that was it!
