Hey everyone :). I had some random and disjointed times here and there today that I used to get a couple of cards made. I had the backgrounds for them made previously and then decided to turn them into a couple of thank you cards (because one can never have enough thank you cards on hand!).
I've been struggling with card ideas lately and on top of it all I caught the cold that's been going around (yay - sarcasm), but once I started fiddling and die-cutting the ideas started flowing (a bit anyway!).
I used MFT's Chunky Chevron Cover-Up Die-namics and die cut some Summer Splash card stock and a piece of patterned paper from their Fresh Squeezed Chevron Paper Pack, and then alternated the pieces to create 2 different backgrounds.
For the first card I made I die cut the word "thanks" 4 times from white card stock then adhered them all together with Ranger's Multi Medium Matte adhesive. I then die cut some flourishes from darker card stock and vellum and adhered those with the same adhesive before adhering the sentiment.
To finish this one off I grabbed some sequins from my stash that coordinated with the colors and adhered those with the same adhesive (if you don't own it already you should! Best stuff ever).
For my second card I pulled out several die-namics sets as well as a sentiment set, and just had fun with it all.
I die cut the butterflies from white card stock then used my Mini Ink Blending Tool along with Summer Splash and Tropical Teal dye inks to create the gradient on them.
I adhered the stamped "thank" sentiment with dimensionals and stacked the "you" die cut (this time using only 3 die cuts) and added some more sequins because I can't resist the bling and that was it!
