Hello everyone! This month's Creative Challenge for the MFT Design Team was to "Wear Your Heart on Your Sleeve" AKA create projects that feature HEARTS. With Valentine's Day around the corner it was a fitting theme ;).
Make sure you check out MFT's blog post here for all the links to the other DT members playing along to see what they've made!
I decided to go with "non-traditional" colors for both of my cards today. I really enjoy making pink/red/black/white cards for anything "love"-themed and think it's fine - but I was in the mood for something different.
I used the new All My Love stamp set and stamped the hearts in Blu Raspberry, Peach Bellini, Lemon Chiffon and Lavender Fields dye inks, and then stamped the sentiment with Black Licorice hybrid ink.
I used dies from the Blueprints 20 Die-namics set for the main panel and on the Peach Bellini card stock to frame it.
I finished off the inside by stamping the hearts randomly and stamping the little "xoxoxo" sentiment with black ink.
For my second card I wanted to use this sentiment from the new I Love You More stamp set, and of course I paired it with the Sun Ray Die-namics die.
I used the new Tiny Hearts Background stamp on some Lemon Chiffon card stock with Banana Split ink then adhered the die cut Sun Ray over it with foam tape.
I also die cut a little heart from the All My Love Die-namics set and added that by the sentiment as well as some yellow hemp cord I had in my stash.
I finished off the inside by stamping another sentiment from the set and coloring in the heart with Copics (Y11, Y15 - I used the same ones on the front of the card) and adding another die cut heart and that was it!
