We're already one day down and only 6 left to go 'till MFT's October products are live! Check out their blog post here for all the sneak peek info (including all the videos from yours truly) plus links to all the other DT member's blog posts.
For today's card I HAD to used the Pierced Snowflakes Die-namics again - such a gorgeous set:
I paired the largest snowflake with the "peace" die from the Peace, Love, Joy Die-namics (more on those later on in the countdown) that I die cut from some silver glitter paper that I picked up in a Recollection pack at Michales - and FYI I'd heard this about those papers and it's true: they SMELL. I've had the pack for a few weeks now and hoped it would air out or something - and nope - pulled it out to make this card and it REEKS - but I'm also SUPER-sensitive to smells right now (yay prego hormones!) so I might be a tad over-exaggerating LOL.
I also used the Snowfall Background stamp which I also LOVE - it's a must-have people ;). And of course the large dies from Blueprints 1 and 2 - people have been asking why I use the dies instead of just trimming with a paper-cutter. It's because it looks nicer - in a subtle way. The edges are finished with the dies and there's the teeniest rounding on all the corners. Plus I don't have to measure and cut and fiddle - just run the CS through the machine with the dies and they layer perfect every time :).
I finished of the inside by adhering another one of the pierced snowflakes and then stamping the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Cheerful Christmas Greetings set which was released last year and that was it!
