I've got 3 cards and a video to share with y'all - all using the new Trick or Treat stamp set and coordinating Die-namics:
I started off simple with this 4-Bar sized card (4 7/8" by 3 1/2") that I stamped with the little spiderweb in Grout Grey Ink.
I stamped the spider and web again onto it's coordinating die cut - this time with Black Licorice Hybrid ink, and used my W1 Copic marker to add a tiny bit of depth to the web. It was practically impossible to pick up on camera but I added Clear Wink of Stella to the spider for just a teeny bit of shimmer.
To finish off the inside I stamped the web repeatedly in the corners with the Grout Grey ink then inked up just the "Trick or Treat" part of the sentiment with the Black Licorice Hybrid ink and stamped it.
OK so for my second card I went a little insane. I stamped the background and sentiment with Black Licorice Hybrid ink, then COLORED in the entire background with Copics. It's another 4-Bar sized card so a little smaller than your standard A2 - but that's still a lot of Copic ink. I do really like the depth I was able to create but I honestly should have just masked off the tombstone/skull/etc and just airbrushed the background! Would have saved me a lot of time and ink LOL!
But it was fun to zone out and just color *wink*.
I stamped the stars and zombie onto their own die cuts and colored them in with Copics as well. I used a totally different (for me) color combo for the zombie skin - W3, W5 and G40 and I LOVE the effect I got with that! The green totally gave the warm grey a "zombie-ish" skin color LOL.
I finished off the inside of this card with more stamped and colored in die cuts from the set.
For my 3rd card I did some experimenting with watercoloring with MFT's dye ink pads.
I used Liquid Frisket (basically a form of rubber cement - I show it in more detail in the video) to mask off the moon, stars and bones before watercoloring in the background with Nightshift Blue ink. I still need to practice with using Liquid Frisket but I was happy enough with my first try! After rubbing it off I finished watercoloring in the background and the die cut characters with more of MFT's dye inks.
I used multiple inks to stamp the sentiment on the inside of the card, and taped off the background stamp to create the extended jagged grass you see here and on the front of the card. Both of which are really easy to do - and easier to explain on video:
