First off before I get into all the countdown goodness - I've got an announcement! Some of you already picked up on it - but if you've been watching my videos for a while you might have recognized the voice in yesterday's MFT product videos. *grin*
I've been filming and editing and whatnot behind the scenes for this release - and 99% of it y'all will see on MFT's blog and YouTube channel. And big BIG thanks to everyone who picked up on it and have been commenting such nice things! It's meant a lot! ((((hugs)))) Also big huge thanks to team MFT for giving me at shot at it! Joanne did such a good job with the videos and I feel like I have big shoes to fill!
So yeah, a lot of my cards for this release don't/won't have my usual videos but if you check out the MFT posts you'll see bits and pieces of them.
OK back to the countdown at hand! We're only 6 days away from the MFT August release - and if you check out MFT's blog post here you'll see all the products being shown for today, as well as all the links to the other DT members blog posts!
This card is one you'll see bits of in the video for the new Geek Is Chic stamp set. SUCH a fun set - and I can see myself getting a lot of use out of it - it seems like everyone I know wears glasses LOL!
I used the new Geek Is Chic Glasses Die-namics as well - and coated the Orange Fizz card stock frames with Orange Wink of Stella - so they're all shimmery IRL!
I used the smaller Geek Is Chic Glasses die cuts on the inside, as well as more stamps from the Geek Is Chic set. The new Stitchable Dot Circle STAX Die-namics added a fun touch to the outside and inside (another one of those products where I was kind of "meh" at first over, then as soon as I started using it the ideas started to roll and I didn't want to put them down LOL!).
This second card turned out nothing like I intended it to. I was planning on using more color and layers and embellishments, but then decided to keep it really simple - just one color of ink and white card stock.
I used the new Eye Charts stamp set as the main image and stamped it with Steel Grey Hybrid Ink. I mounted it on dimensionals over a piece of card stock I stamped with one of the frames from the Geek Is Chic stamp set with the same ink.
On the inside I used the same sentiment from the Geek Is Chic set (definitely my favorite) along with just one stamped glasses frame and that finished it off.
