SOOOOOO close! There's technically less than a day left 'till all the MFT August goodies that I've been teasing y'all with are available! Check out MFT's blog post here for the final day of peeks (SO many good ones!) and links to all the other DT members blog posts!
And don't forget to check in later on here - I'll have another post going up at 10pm EST for the release (with giveaway info!). And we'll be over on the MFT forums on SCS <-----click! from 8:30-10 EST just chatting away. If you've never joined in before be sure to check it out - it's fun and crazy and half the time I don't know what everyone's talking about but it's fun LOL! And there's giveaways there too!
Anywho - a couple more cards for the countdown - both of which are Halloween - and both of which technically don't have videos. I say technically b/c you can actually see bits of each card coming together in a couple of the product review videos for MFT. Once everything's live I'll link to them (if I remember - I can be bad about that sometimes...)
I used the Stitchable Dot Circle STAX for this card - I just ran a piece of Smooth White card stock through my Big Shot several times with the dies to create all the holes, then stitched 'em up with some embroidery thread. It looks like it took longer than it did - I had a friend (who doesn't craft at all) looking at it the other day and she was impressed at how well my stitching turned out - LOL! It's all thanks to the dies.
This one has a tiny bit in a video HERE <---click! where I show how I did the stitching.
I also used one of the dies to frame the stamped sentiment from the new Spooky Sentiments set - love how that turned out!
On the inside of the card I used the Stitchable Dot Circle STAX die-namics again but this time just backed the card stock with some Sour Apple card stock so that it was peeking through. Then I stamped another sentiment from the Spooky Sentiments set and that finished it off.
The idea for this card came to me as I was filming the info video for the Spooky Sentiments set for MFT. I thought how fun would it be to cluster several of the sentiments together in bright colors....then decided they'd look even more fun with a spiderweb background.
You can check out the video I did on the Spooky Sentiments stamp set HERE <----click!
I die cut the spiderweb using the new Spiderweb Cover-Up Die-namics (LOVE this die! I HATE spiders and spiderwebs in real life - am totally terrified of spiders (anyone else watch Arachnaphobia when they were little? Who knows where my parents were....but that movie TERRIFIED me) but I love cute Halloween paper and stamp spiders and webs - go figure).
I used Grape Jelly card stock for the web, and kept the rest of the colors bright and fun - no black at all. This would be the sort of fun card to send to a friend during the month of October just because. :)
I finished off the inside with another Spooky Sentiments sentiment, and stamped and embossed 3 more of the little skulls from the set, trimmed them out and added them too just for fun.
