*post #2 for today! My Sunday Recap went up earlier and it has 2 weeks of blog posts linked within! Check it out below or click HERE*
Hello all. I actually made the card I'm sharing today some time ago - not long after I posted my previous card using it:
Watercolor Dahlia - Making a Card #66 Video
And then the set was sold out at The Paper Trail so I was waiting for it to come back in stock. And then it sold out again before I got this video uploaded :P. I just can't win LOL! You can see some of the other Penny Black sets they have HERE - there are a couple that can be substituted for this Dahlia set. And I included an alternate source in the links as well.
Anywho here is the card:
With my first card I kept things simpler and less layers/embellishments - with this one I went all out LOL!
I heat embossed the stamped images with white embossing powder before water coloring them with my Peerless water colors (another thing that has been sold out for some time. Retailers are trying to get them back in ASAP but it's the company itself that takes quite a lot of time to ship out the orders apparently - the demand has been so high they can't keep up LOL!).
I used my old (and still favorite) Big Words & Handy Additions sentiments for this card, and a ton of ribbon too!
And the inside was stamped with the Dahlias again along with a sentiment from my Birthday Sentiments stamp set.
