First off happy July 4th to all my readers in the US!
Second - this is post #2 for today so be sure to scroll down or click here to see my earlier cards and video!
Third - it's Bellarific Friday and I've got a card for y'all based on the sketch we were given last week:
Here's the card I made - and again sorry no video. I mentioned in the previous post that I'm dealing with Katelyn teething and the poor kid is a bear. She's got more molars trying to come through and they're driving her insane - it's been rough on the poor bug! :( :( :( So my filming and editing time is pretty much non-existent at the moment other than projects already taken care of! Anywho back to the card:
I used uptown girl MADISON has a MARGARITA and colored her in with Copics after stamping her with MFT Black Licorice Hybrid Ink.
Of course I couldn't resist adding some bling so I decked out her dress with some Silver and Yellow Stickles, then added some Cinnamon Stickles to her hair. I coated her glass with Glossy Accents, then added a bunch of Doodlebug Sequins, which went with the patterned paper as it was Doodlebug Kraft in Color - Color 6x6 papers.
The sentiment comes with this stamp and I inked it up with MFT Sweet Tooth pigment ink and embossed it with detail white embossing powder to make it pop on the grey card stock. I free hand snipped the flag ends.
I finished off the inside by stamping the full image of MADISON in yellow ink then mimicked the outside layout with smaller strips of patterned paper and card stock that I'd used on the front as well and that was it!
I'll edit this post later to include a link to Stamping Bella's blog post so y'all can see what the other DT members made (or check out the links to their blogs in my sidebar to the right ----->) and add the challenge for next week if you'd like to play along!
Stamping Bella's Blog Post <-----click! And next week's challenge is: CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES… so a birthday card, anniversary card.. pretty much anything goes!
