Today's challenge for Bellarific Friday was CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES - so this was the card I made for it:
I used Uptown Girls VICTORIA and JULIETTE's NIGHT OUT image, stamped it with MFT Black Licorice Hybrid ink, then colored them in with Copics.
Sorry no video for this card - it was late at night when I was playing around with stamps and Copics and I wasn't even sure if I was going to end up making this into a card. When I came back to it later I was happy with it so I ended up finishing it off into what you see here.
I marked on my sticky note which Copics I used on which uptown girl as this time I did different colors for the skin tone and hair on each of them.
I paper pieced both of their dresses - how cute did those end up eh? And I've shown it a lot in previous posts and videos - but adding some shading to the patterned paper (here I used W5, 3 and 1) makes a HUGE difference to the paper piecing!
I also cut a slit in the top fold of the card to thread through all the baker's twine. Though it added a little something extra ;).
I finished off the inside by stamping the girls again with Memento Angel Pink ink and the same patterned papers I used on the front and that was it!
Next week's challenge for Bellarific Friday is a sketch:
If you play along (guidelines are to use current Stamping Bella images) you just need to e-mail Emily a pic of your finished card by Thursday July 17 for it to be added to the Bellarific Friday post!
