Well the weekend is over (boo), but that means we're a day closer to MFT's June release (yay)!
Make sure to head on over to MFT's blog to see everything being shown today, plus for the links to all the other DT members blog posts - totally worth it!
So my card for today uses just the license plate dies from the new Joy Ride Die-namics set. If you checked out MFT's blog post you can see the whole set of die-namics - which has all the parts to "build" a car - so fun. And then there's all these fun "vanity plates" that are in there. And as I was looking at them I remember seeing people covering walls with old license plates, and wanted to do something similar on a card.
I ran the dies through my machine several times with Primitive White card stock. I didn't use a metal shim (which I normally would) so that the letters didn't cut cleanly and were still (somewhat) attached. That way all I had to do was run lines of my Scotch ATG adhesive on the backs of them and adhere them to my card.
After everything was adhered I went along the edges with scissors and snipped off anything hanging over the edges and it was good to go.
I was originally going to adhere several "THANKU"s to the inside, but stopped myself from the overkill and just adhered one. Simple and done.
