Well I'm back again to share more cards using some of the new MFT May products that I haven't had a chance to create with yet. Make sure to head on over to MFT's blog post for the links to the other DT members participating today to see what they've created (and there will be more tomorrow!).
I decided to use the new Watt's Up? stamp set and Lightbulb Die-namics, and since I got so many requests for a video tutorial after posting this card last week - I pulled out the new Small Brick Wall Stencil and used the same technique to create this card:
Love all the texture from the embossing paste. This is the exact same method used on the previous card - just different colors of card stock and Copics:
And then I finished off the inside by airbrushing the Small Brick Wall Stencil again:
To see how I made this card check out the video:
Now for my second card - same stamp set and Die-namics - different stencil and different technique:
I used the Sun Ray Stencil for this card, and just applied Banana Split and Lemon Drop dye inks with a sponge dauber using less and less pressure to fade out the "rays".
I did the same thing with the lightbulb - I die cut it from white card stock then sponged the two inks into the center areas of it.
To get the multi-colored effect on the stamped SHINE - I just inked up the stamp in MFT's Banana Split Dye ink then rocked the stamp in the (darker) Lemon Drop ink before pressing it to the card stock.
And of course I had to add some shimmer so I filled in the center of the lightbulb with Yellow Wink of Stella and coated the base with Silver Wink of Stella.
To finish off the inside I used the Sun Ray stencil again and sponged the Lemon Drop and Banana Split inks in the same way I did the front.
