Oh it's definitely been one of "those" days - nothing went how it was supposed to and when I finally got some time to make a card I kept messing it up and having to either fix or scrap parts of it. But I wanted to get it done b/c the ideas were flowing (rare when I'm having an "off" day!) and I was pleased with how it was turning out - not pleased with the screw-ups and the MAJOR mess I made making it (which still needs to be cleaned up!).
Anywho I'm still going strong with my resolution to be USING my Stamping Bella Uptown Girls stamps - no more just "collecting" them - they need to get used!
So this week's Bellarific Friday challenge was an inspiration challenge:
I was drawn to the color combo - grey and yellow (LOVE!) and I needed to make a(n overdue) birthday card for a friend - so this is what I created:
I used the Uptown Girl POSH has a Present image and stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto CCD Copic Quality card stock and colored her in with Copics.
The striped yellow card stock was made with a piece of MFT Banana Split card stock, the Striped Backgrounds stamp set and Lemon Drop ink.
Another reason I love enamel dots? They are great for covering ink transfer when you've got yellow ink on your fingers and get it onto white card stock :P. lol
I added some Yellow Stickles to her dress and the gifts for some extra bling, and then some grey seam binding ribbon from my stash.
I kept the inside simple by stamping POSH again with grey ink right onto the inside of the card and that was it!
I'll be back later with another MFT countdown post and video - so stay tuned!
