Hey everyone!
This month's Creative Challenge was to create perfect packaging using MFT's various treat box Die-namics. Of course the team took the idea and ran with it so be sure to check out the main MFT blog post HERE for links to the Team Member's blog posts to see what they made!
I went Easter-themed with all my little creations:
I kept everything on the simpler side - as I was thinking "mass-production" when making these. If I were planning on making a treat box for a friend or for someone special I'd definitely amp it up a bit with more embellishments etc etc.
But since I was making these with mainly my own children in mind - I wanted them to be cute, and to be easy enough to make several of without taking days and days to do it LOL!
First off is this cute little picnic basket. I put little chocolate eggs in it but what I was really thinking was how cute it would look with 2 or 3 bottles of nail polish (my girls LOVE nail polish).
I used the Picnic Basket Die-namics with Natural card stock - it's hard to tell in this pic but it embosses such cute detail while it cuts - LOVE! I of course also used the new Wood Plank background stamp as I am obsessed with it!
I added a cute little embellishment with the die cut Layered Rose, and added a little tag I'd die cut and stamped with sentiments from the new Easter Bunny stamp set.
For my second little treat box I used the Scalloped Treat box Die-namics (my personal favorite - I just love this one) and Whip Cream card stock that I stamped with the Wood Plank background and Natural ink (another new favorite! LOVE LOVE LOVE how that looks!!).
I used the Tall Grassy Edge Die-namics and wrapped it around the bottom of the treat box then tucked the Easter bunny and a few eggs in among the grass.
Finally I have this big pile of "carrots" that I made with the MFT Cone Treat Box, Wood Plank (of course) background and Tall Grassy Edge Die-namics.
And I've got a video to show y'all how I made them and what I tucked inside them:
I'll be hiding these around the house for the kids to find come Easter morning. Again if I was only making a couple of these I would have gone the extra step and cut the tops from felt - it would have looked SO cute. But I didn't want to waste that as I *know* that once my kids realize there's candy inside them they're gonna have those cute "carrot tops" ripped off and tossed aside LOL!
These were so fun to make though - and while my supply lists seem to be a LOT - there's quite a few things (*cough* Wood Plank background...) that I used over and over for each treat box.
