Hey everyone. Even though I've already posted a couple cards and a couple of videos this week I actually made and filmed them a while ago - which was good b/c I've had a lot on my plate and haven't actually stamped anything in almost a week now.
It's been a hectic several days, and it hasn't helped that we're sitting in the -40s (C) temps for this entire week too - I can usually deal with winter and all that goes with it here but this year I'm am definitely sick of it and can't wait for spring!
Anywho - I wanted to play along with this week's Bellarific Friday challenge which was this sketch:
I was flipping through all my Uptown Girls stamps that I have and when I saw my REILLY loves to RELAX image and the sentiment I had to use it. So here's what I made:
I used my new Carta Bella Wildflower patterned paper as the inspiration for the colors. I stamped the image onto one of the aqua patterned papers and paper-pieced the chair (just the main part I didn't bother cutting out the frilly part) and colored in the pattern with Copics - totally busy and crazy but that's what I'm feeling at the moment *wink*.
I masked off the entire image and airbrushed the background in using the pink copics and the lighter purple too. Then after I was done all the coloring and adhered the paper-pieced chair into place I used my Dark Pink Wink of Stella to add some shimmer and my white POSCA paint pen to add some highlights here and there.
On the inside of the card I stamped the Uptown Girl stamp again this time with MFT Sno Cone ink, then added the sentiment that comes with the stamp and done!
