**AND make sure to get to the end of this (really long!) post as there's giveaway info!**
For this post I'm focusing on the new Watercolor Backdrops stamp set and Little Lowercase Letters Die-namics die set. Both of these have SOOOO many possibilities - once I started I had a hard time stopping - I could have kept going and going if time permitted.
Here's the first card I made:
I die cut the "sentiment" using the Little Lowercase Die-namics and Razzle Berry card stock. This was one of those ideas that popped into my head while creating something else - I pictured a damask "wallpaper" in white a grey with a black chandelier and the letters in pink.
I coated the chandelier with Glossy Accents (before adhering it - after it dried I glued it to the card - I found it easier that way) to make it shiny, and coated all the letters with my Dark Pink Wink of Stella shimmer pen - SO fun.
If I didn't hate wallpaper so much (the putting up of it) I would SO love to have a wall in my house just like this! And a black glossy chandelier and hot pink accents.......*happy sigh*
Anywho back to the card - here's the inside:
I stamped the damask along the side and added the chandelier, trimming off the parts that hung over the edge to leave plenty of room to write.
Now for a completely different card:
I inked up one of the larger stamps in the Watercolor Backdrops set with Versamark ink, stamped it onto Black Licorice card stock then poured three different colors of embossing powder over it.
Kinda cool eh? It just POPS on the black! I then die cut the word "thanks" with the Little Lowercase Letters Die-namics using white card stock. I actually did it twice and glued them together before adhering them to the card. That way there's a little bit of dimension to them and it's WAY less work that trying to add dimensionals to each little letter.
I popped up the black card stock on dimensionals when I adhered it to the Orange Fizz card stock.
I lined the inside of the card with white card stock, then added a strip of Black Licorice card stock that I had stamped with the same stamp used on the front and embossed as well.
In all honesty I wasn't sure how this card would turn out as it's not a color combo I'd normally choose. But it was the only colors of embossing powder I had on hand that "flowed" together like this YKWIM? You could totally do it with any colors you want. But once it was done I liked it - and my hubby really liked it so I decided it'd be a good masculine card (and they're always more difficult to create for so this one's FTW!).
Now card #3 - another totally different card:
This time I inked up the other large stamp from the Watercolor Backdrops set with Sno Cone, Berrylicious, Blu Raspberry and Nightshift Blue inks. After I inked it up I spritzed it (lightly) with water before stamping it on the card stock.
The splatter was created by mixing Nightshift Blue ink refill with MFT's Sheer Shimmer Spray in a bottle that still had a teeny bit of Sweet Tooth ink spray in it (I was too lazy to go wash it out). It created this lighter shimmery blue color so I splattered that on.
I sprayed the die cut anchor with my little custom mix and it looks so cool IRL. I added some jute twine from my stash to finish it off.
On the inside of the card I inked up one of the smaller Watercolor Backdrop stamps the same way I did on the front, only this time I didn't mist it before stamping it. I then stamped the anchors from the Go Overboard set and splattered on some of the blue shimmer mist and that was it. I've now got another great masculine card to add to the stash that I wasn't planning on when I started this card LOL!
