Here's another card without a video (sad face from a bunch of you I assume LOL) - but I've got a video uploading as I type this - it's just taking it's time. I don't know if anyone's noticed a difference but I've uploaded the last few videos in HD and they take FOREVER to upload (and that's only in 720, I don't even want to know how long 1080 would take). It's an experiment on my part...I'm pretty clueless when it comes to technology so it's all trial and error for me!
Anywho - back to the card at hand. One of my (many) crafty New Years Resolutions was to participate in more challenges. I used to do them ALL the time back in the day and in recent years not so much. Why I stopped I don't know as they're fun and can get you to think out of the box or give you a boost when you're stuck creatively. And that's definitely what I need sometimes! So I'm going to try to play along with some this year - none in particular - just whatever I come across that strikes my fancy.
So for today I saw Michele's card on her blog and she referenced the latest CAS (Clean and Simple) challenge over on Splitcoast. It gave me an idea so I decided to play along!
This week's challenge was to create CAS cards with snowflakes:
I used the CCDesigns Cutters It's Snowing Die to die cut several snowflakes from Eclipse Masking paper. I then used them as masks on a piece of white card stock. I put them in a (too small - note to self get a bigger box!) box and sprayed the card stock with TiffanyLou Blue mist from Lindy's Stamp Gang.
The sentiment is from my Freezin' Season Stamp set.
I added gold splatter with a Color Shine mister that I picked up a couple of months ago, and some Liquid Pearl dots just because.
It's so shimmery and pretty in real life! I popped it up on dimensionals and added a few dots of White Opal Liquid Pearls while I was at it.
This is a 4.25" square card.
On the inside I used one more snowflake mask and sprayed the LSG TiffanyLou Blue again, then added the gold splatter and once dry stamped the companion stamp from the set and that was it!
