Hey everyone!
This month's challenge for the MFT Design Team was to Ring the new year in with style with a home decor piece that takes a room from drab to fab. Get a head start on Valentine's Day, a birthday party, or create a banner for another upcoming occasion or theme.
I've been planning on making something for Katelyn's room for a while now, so this challenge was perfect for me to get to it and finally make it:

I used the 2 largest of the Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX Die-namics and die cut Grape Jelly and Grapesicle card stock to make the base for my banner.
I stamped the new Typewriter Text background stamp onto the Grape Jelly banners with the co-ordinating ink, and stamped the polka dot stamp from the Large Scale Backgrounds stamp set onto the Grapesicle card stock with the same ink.
I used two different doily die-namics, and then die cut some Banana Split card stock with the new Stitched Circle STAX die-namics, and I stamped those with the Typewriter Text background as well.
The letters were die cut using the High Rise Alphabet Uppercase Die-namics and Blu Raspberry card stock.
I coated the letters with Glitter Glaze to give them some sparkle :). For the embellishments I die cut some butterflies and rolled roses with Banana Split felt and adhered them with my hot glue gun.
To attach all the banners together I used a really long piece of bakers twine that I threaded through the backs of each banner and sewed through buttons - one for looks and two to give it a little extra strength.
Finally on each end of the banner I made bows using the Jumbo Beautiful Bow Die-namics and Banana Split Felt. I wrapped each one around the ends of the bakers twine to hide the loops I made to be able to hang them from.
