Happy New Year everyone!! It's time to start counting down to the MFT January release and I am SUPER-excited to show y'all what I've been creating with all the new fabulous products.
Make sure to check out the MFT blog for all of today's info plus links to all the other DT members blogs to see what they've made if you haven't already!!
Here is card #1:
So a new release means a new set of Blueprints die-namics. I gotta tell y'all I am in LOVE with these Blueprints sets. Honestly I was struggling to come up with ideas for cards for this release - I think the sudden switch from Christmas to everything else, plus just the chaos of Christmas (and the 25 videos I did!) had me feeling a little burnt out.
So this is definitely one great way to get back in to it - grab a set of Blueprints Die-namics and the layouts they provide and start making cards - which is EXACTLY what I did :).
I followed one of the layouts MFT provides with the set (it's always linked as a PDF file below the set on their website) and added my own touch with a bit of patterned paper (another reason I love these sets - I can use them to start hacking away (literally LOL) at my patterned paper stash) and some stitching courtesy of my sewing machine.
The patterned paper is from an old MME collection - All Dolled Up. I purposely reached into the back of my stash as like I said I want to start using up some of it (another one of my crafty New Years resolutions!).
I even roughed up the edges a bit - haven't done that in a while. Then once I DO do it I want to do it on everything :P.
On the inside of the card I used the wavy die and cut it in half after die-cutting the patterned paper, and adhered them to the top and bottom of the kraft card stock - leaving a nice big space to write.

Now card #2:
Same patterned paper pack - totally different card :). I used the new LJD Love's the Ticket stamp set and coordinating Ticket Note Die-namics - super fun.
There are a bunch of different options with this set so you can make "tickets" in all sorts of combinations - for my card I did the main one with Black Licorice ink and Kraft card stock, then added a second one with Kraft ink on Kraft card stock.
And I pulled out my Hybrid Camellia Flower and Layered Leaves Die-namics for the embellishments - making the flower out of vellum (I used really thin vellum from my stash - love that you can see the ticket through the petals) and the leaves from Black Licorice card stock.
On the inside of the card I die cut 2 more tickets and stamped them with Kraft ink leaving them fairly simple so that they can be written on easily.
