WOW October is just flying by!! It's Thanksgiving for us here in Canada this weekend so I've been busy cooking turkey and baking pies and all that jazz. We also have a big "Harvest Festival" in our town with a parade, pancake breakfast, fireworks and tons and tons of things going on - so I've been running my kids around to all these things in and amongst everything else - it's been nuts but a lot of fun too.
So while I'm running around like a crazy person I needed to pop in here to share a couple things I made with the newest MFT October products. And let me tell you all I wanted to do was sit and play - and I had THE hardest time only making a couple of things - trust me I'll be making and sharing more that's for sure!!
For today's projects I didn't use a SINGLE stamp - everything was created with MFT cardstock and die-namics:
Ahhhhhh isn't this CUTE!!?? I've been wanting to play with the new Snow Globe Die-namics for a while now and once I got started "playing" with this card I decided to go all out and use *just* die-namics for the card.
I used Wild Cherry Felt for his scarf and a hot glue gun to attach it to the snowman - I find that's the best way to attach felt to actually get it to stay on. Liquid adhesives and tape runners etc etc never work for me.
I used the Swiss Dot Die-namics to die cut the Sno Cone layer then backed that with white card stock. Then I used the new Tree Lines Die-namics with Jellybean Green and Sour Apple card stocks for the "scene".
I used the new Christmas Greetings Die-namics on the inside of the card. I die cut the Sno Cone card stock first with two of the dies, then die cut Sour Apple and Jellybean Green card stock and adhered those into place.
So once I made that card I couldn't stop:
I HAD to make another snowman, and I didn't want to waste the letters I had die cut from the Sno Cone cardstock from the card - so I decided to make a tag.
I die cut the tag using the new Pierced Tag STAX Die-namics (which I'm obsessed with), then used the new Falling Snowflakes Die-namics.
I couldn't help myself and made his scarf out of felt again - it just adds that little extra something. While I was at it I used Frosted Lace Stickles to add some "snow".
Since I needed to line the tag with another piece of card stock for the snowflakes to "show" I decided to die-cut another tag - this time from Sno Cone card stock. And once I did that I decided to make it a double sided tag:
That way I could use the "christmas" that I had die cut for the card :) AND also have a spot to write something.
Make sure you head on over to the MFT blog for the links to all the other DT Members posts showing their Release Rewind Creations - there is a ton to see!!
