Hey everyone! So now's the time the MFT Design Team is taking everyone on a tour of all the NEW MFT September products available at the MFT Store.
I made three cards and one with a video to show y'all so sit back for a long post! ;)
I used the new Winged Beauties Stamp Set and Winged Beauties Die-namics - and couldn't stop after just one card - so I ended up making three. And of course I couldn't decide which one to share so I'm sharing all three LOL!
Here's the first card:
I stamped the butterflies from the set onto Kraft card stock using Kraft, Hot Fudge and Sweet Tooth ink. The sentiment is from the new Contemporary Roses set - I wanted a larger sentiment that would stand out against all the butterflies - and the ones in the Contemporary Roses set are perfect. I inked it up with Sweet Tooth ink and stamped it onto Hot Fudge card stock.
On the inside of the card I just stamped the butterflies using the same inks I used on the front. I looooove how the white pigment ink just "pops" off the card stock yet has that translucent look to it.
Now for card number 2:
For this one I used just the Winged Beauties Die-namics as my focal point. I matted them with a piece of Hot Fudge card stock that I'd stamped with the same ink and the Textile Backgrounds (see I told y'all I can't put that set down!) stamp, then die cut with the new Pierced Rectangles STAX Die-namics.
And instead of stamping the die cut butterflies with the coordinating butterfly images - I created "patterned paper" of sorts:
All I did was ink up the notebook paper stamp from the new Journal It - Take Note stamp set with the Sweet Tooth ink and stamp it twice onto the butterflies - turning it for the second time to create a "gridline" effect.
I attached the butterflies to the Hot Fudge cardstock by sewing down the centers - that way the wings are all popped up a bit and give added dimension.
The Kraft "patterned paper" was just made with one of the smaller butterflies from the Winged Beauties stamp set and stamping it in Hot Fudge, Kraft and Sweet Tooth inks (I had that look still in my head after creating the previous card obviously).
Finally I used all the same elements on the inside of the card that I used on the front.
I didn't add any sentiments to this card - that way it could be used for pretty much any occasion.
Finally the last card I made (and this one has a video to go with it):
To see how I made this card check out the following video:
