Hello everyone! It's time for MFT's September Release Rewind where we get to show you some other creations we've made using stamps and die-namics from the release that we haven't had a chance to use yet.
I couldn't choose just one thing so made 2 different cards that are completely different from each other - but both of them use the new Free with $60 set - Large Scale Backgrounds. Once I started playing with this set I had to keep using it LOL!
For my first card I kept things *really* simple as I wanted not only the Large Scale Backgrounds stamps to stand out - but the butterfly too.
I used Kraft ink for the polka dot stamp and Hot Fudge ink for the diamonds.
I die cut the butterfly from Razzle Berry card stock using the new Fancy Butterflies Die-namics - LOVE these dies - they're HUGE!! I only used the one die for this card - but I'll have to play with it some more that's for sure.
I sponged Razzle Berry ink onto the butterfly to deepen all the edges - makes it look so pretty.
The sentiment is from the new Sending Thanks set - I stamped it using Razzle Berry ink.
The splatter was made using a marker in a similar color to MFT's Kraft and my SU Spritzer tool.
I followed the same pattern on the inside of the card, then stamped the THANK YOU from the Sending Thanks set with Razzle Berry ink and that was it!
Now for card #2:
I had fun with this one :). I pulled out my Red Delicious Die-namics and die cut it with Wild Cherry, Jellybean Green and Hot Fudge card stocks. I then stamped the houndstooth from the Large Scale Backgrounds onto the apple using Wild Cherry ink - LOVE it! :)
The polka dots were stamped with Kraft ink onto the Kraft cardstock.
I used the new Pure Innocence It's a Sign stamp set as my focal point for this card - I stamped it onto white cardstock with my Memento Ink and colored her in with Copics (if I remember I can upload a picture of all the Copics I used later - I'm still not home and for some reason totally missed getting that picture uploaded! :P).
Edited to add - here it is!:
I used the Pierced Rectangle STAX Die-namics to cut out the main image, and added the Border It - Numbers Die-namics along the bottom strip of Hot Fudge card stock.
This is a 5.5" square card.
On the inside of the card I die cut the largest of the Pierced Rectangles STAX die-namics then stamped the Pure Innocence It's a Sign girl with Kraft ink, and added the little <3 You sentiment with Wild Cherry ink. It's one of those things that when it's done you can't help but grin LOL - it just turned out perfectly ;).
Make sure you head on over to the MFT blog to see what all the other DT members created. And if you missed it check out yesterday's post on there too as there is a TON of eye candy!!
