I wasn't joking when I say in the video that this card has taken me a week to make :P. I had the general idea for the card, then started pulling out the supplies for it, then something always seemed to interrupt me when I went to actually make it.
Finally today I decided to just go with it and color the image as I had time and not worry about filming that (as it's the most time consuming part all around). I won't do that all the time as I know people like to see *HOW* I colored in the image - but this time I just needed to be able to get up and walk away from it when needed and not worry about having a TON of video to edit. That and I like being able to just color without worrying that I'm in frame or where my hands are was kind of nice too LOL.
I did make sure to take note of all the colors I used:
Anywho here's the card:
This is CCDesigns Swiss Pixie Pumpkin Birgitta - so fun to color - and I decided to give her purple hair. Thought it'd be cute with her costume!
One thing that *really* sped up the card making process was the Blueprints 6 Die-namics. Yet another thing I've fallen in love with from MFT ;). When I first saw these dies a few months ago I didn't quite get what they were meant for (although that was my fault - if I'd actually LOOKED at them on the MFT site they explain them quite simply LOL) - but now that I "get" it - I love them ;).
I was stuck on what to do for a layout - I had the image and patterned papers picked out - so then I pulled out the dies and used one of the layouts provided and done. Less thinking for me is better right now!!
And so fun to be able to actually show y'all how glittery this turned out - and yet you can still see all the detail of the coloring - I talk more about that at the end of the video :).
