So I kind of have a love/hate relationship with SimonSaysStamp.com. I love that they carry a TON of product (and that is usually pretty well stocked - it's not too often that I've gone looking through their store and found several things I've wanted that were out of stock), their shipping has vastly improved (my first order from them took FOREVER to ship out, then my second and now this one shipped out within a day or two of ordering), and I think they're a good company.
What I DON'T like is that I have contacted them more than once - and never heard back from them :P. They were one of the company's I had contacted last year about possibly doing a collaberation/giveaway/something of sorts with my Halloween and Christmas series - or even a small discount or something in exchange for my promotion.
Normally I don't talk about this sort of thing on here as it's always been just me - I purchase everything I use, if I work on a Design Team with a company I will get their products in exchange for the work, and every once in a blue moon a company sends me things. I *rarely* ask for anything - but I thought I'd give it a shot last year as my videos/series were getting more popular/more hits. And yeah none of the companies I contacted even replied to me - I wasn't expecting everyone to jump all over themselves to offer me things - a simple "no" I would be OK with LOL! But to not hear anything back was a bit of a let-down (and burst my ego too LOL - which in a way can be a good thing - no need to get all full of oneself eh?).
So anywho SSS was one of the companies I'd contacted - and never heard back from. Now there IS a good chance that no one even saw my e-mail as that can definitely happen! But I've actually sent e-mails before to them about other things and never heard back - so that's a little frustrating.
It's been almost a year since I last ordered from them - not because of my personal "issues" - but because of my whole getting pregnant/being so sick/having a baby/not stamping "issues" LOL!!
That and I tend to order more "goodies" this time of year as I'm gearing up for my Halloween and Christmas crafting and video series. Even though I have built up quite the collection for both holidays - I can't help myself when there are some NEW goodies out there for me to try out - and like I say in the beginning of the haul video - when I'm up in the middle of the night/several times a night and am browsing online it's way too easy to shop *wink*.
I also just want to add a thank you to all those people that had some righteous indignation when I mentioned this whole issue recently in one of my videos. I appreciate all y'all's support!! And I appreciate those that add notes to their online orders to say that they were inspired or directed that way because of me.
Over the years I HAVE had companies notice that and contact me b/c of it. That was back when there weren't nearly as many blogs/online stores/youtubers as there is now - things have changed a LOT over the years and like I said I definitely don't expect companies to come knocking on my (virtual) door. I will admit that SSS (to me) is a much "bigger" business than anything I've dealt with - and to be honest with y'all ALL the businesses I contacted last year were "big" ones. I thought I'd take a shot and see what would happen - and well y'all know the result (if your eyes haven't glazed over at this point - sorry I'm in a really chatty mood this morning!).
SO - if you've read this whole novel I've typed (and please don't think I'm complaining or upset over any of that - it was more of a "burst bubble" thing and I'm over it - it would have been great if those companies had got back to me but I can definitely survive with all the stuff I have already!!) here's the video:
