Not the most flattering pic of me - but this was taken over 8 hours after giving birth via emergency c-section June 19 to our little Katelyn Rosie. This was the first time meeting her and getting to hold her (long story).
Needless to say her rather abrubt and chaotic arrival is taking some time to recover from - but I wanted to pop on here now that I'm home and starting to get a bit settled in and give an update as I've had people e-mailing and whatnot.
Also people have been worried about the flooding in Alberta and if that was why I was quiet on here. No - I'm about 300 miles from Calgary and live in the middle of tons of fields - so their devastating floods haven't affected us (in that way - but Calgary is a major hub of everything for western Canada so we're ALL affected by it in some way or another). My heart goes out to all the people that ARE suffering and have lost homes/lives/business/etc in those floods - what I did see in the news updates while I was in the hospital was just surreal.
Thank you all for the concern though! Me and baby girl are doing well - I'll prolly have a video update coming SOON (maybe within the day or two) as it'll be easier for me to just do a video than type everything out!! :)
I'm gonna go take a nap and snuggle my new little munchkin ;) :D :D :D
