AmyR CLEAR Stamps Product Review Video

So I finally got my hands on my first CLEAR stamp set. I had posted about it about a month or so ago that All That Scraps will now be offering my stamp sets in a clear option along with the rubber option they've always been available as.

**I say it in the video but I'll post it here as well - right now there aren't any plans to re-release any of my older sets in clear. Maybe down the road or if the demand is great enough we will but as of right now all my previous sets are available in rubber only.**

A Happy Card Without a Video

I am so used to always having a video explaining how I made a card that it's odd for me to upload one without a video! Which is why I always put it off LOL.

This card being one of them - I made it forever ago (evidenced by the 2012 date on my watermark) and then forgot about it. When I moved all my stamp stuff those few weeks ago this card was in one of the notebooks I use to keep track of layouts, card info etc etc. So I thought I may as well post it now!

I had started with this Wild Sprouts Reeta image from The Greeting Farm - an old favourite of mine (that is sadly not available anymore as it got retired some time ago). I had colored it in with Copic markers to match the Authentique Blissful patterned paper pack, and left her little camisole blank to paper piece it after cutting the image out.

I *love* the color combos that are in that patterned paper pack! So pretty :)

The sentiments are from my Wish You Were Here stamp set. Another personal favorite of mine.

The inside was kept pretty simple with the yellow patterned paper meant for writing to the recipient - a regular ball-point pen will show up well over that so it's not an issue.

I got published!

Some of you may remember THIS CARD I posted a while ago that I had made for a friends birthday. I was so happy with how it turned out and funny thing was I wasn't the only one. It caught someone's eye and I ended up getting an e-mail asking if it could be featured in the UK magazine Papercraft Inspirations :).

TOTALLY made my day. The *only* issue was that they needed full resolution files in order to be able to put it in the magazine (b/c the ones I post on my blog I've edited down to save bandwidth) - and do you think I still had said files? Nope I'd deleted them from my computer. AND I didn't have the card anymore b/c I'd given it to my friend already (who doesn't live nearby of course).

So I ended up re-making the card so that I could re-photo it and all that fun stuff (so thankful this sort of card wasn't one with lots of detail coloring and embellishments that I only had one of sort of thing - that would normally be my luck LOL).

Anyway I did all that, sent the file and just got the e-mail today that the magazine has hit the stands in the UK! It will be available there until the 6th of May and then be available internationally for about 6 weeks after that? I've never come across this magazine here in Canada but then I've got a *really* limited selection of stamping/scrapbooking magazines to choose from here (my local grocery store carries a couple of the big issues like PaperCrafts etc, then Michaels has a better selection but I rarely get there).

Now I just need to get my hands on an actual issue :) I have a PDF of the page I'm featured on but it's not the same.

Cool eh? My first publication :). I've submitted here and there over the years but nothing's came of it and after a while I stopped (as I'd rather just "publish" everything on here LOL). Any of the magazines that require cards/samples to be mailed in are pretty much out for me b/c the shipping costs from Canada are insane if there's a tight deadline (heck they're expensive just to mail regular), and with online submissions you usually have to mail the card in on the chance it DOES get accepted, which again gets expensive. So I've just chosen to not submit and accepted that I'd prolly never get published.

But now I have been - and it feels pretty good *grin*.

ATS Haul #25 VIDEO

Been a long time eh? I've been getting comments and e-mails asking for more videos (I don't think some people actually "get" how crazy my life is at this moment LOL) - but lately I really have been INSANELY busy. And yes I've been taking it easy when I can too - that's another reason for the lack of posts/videos - I've been napping after work and sometimes before LOL.

We've got the reno's going on (anyone who's lived through that feels my pain *wink*) - and my hubby is doing an amazing job with all that so far - it's just stressful and messy and chaotic of course.

I'm also smack dab in the middle of dance competitions with both my girls - they both took dance this year for the first time so it's all new to us and totally not something I ever thought we'd be doing :P. They're doing great (figures my kids would be naturals at dance when I'm lucky not to trip over my own feet) it's just time consuming (hours of driving and sitting around and hair and makeup and all that fun stuff) - and right now when I don't have much time it's just nuts! But they're loving being up on stage (once they got over their nerves for the first round) and I'm not just being a proud mom when I say how good they are. I was impressed and so was their instructor and anyone who's seen them dance so far *big proud grin*.

So with all that and work and life and laundry and housecleaning and lack of sleep and city trips for doctor appointments (so far everything is great with the pregnancy BTW) my life is literally INSANE right now LOL!

All that and I am STILL having a hard time adjusting to my stamping space. I know in the video I posted it doesn't look as small and crowded as it really is but trust me I am CRAMPED in here. I literally can't turn in my chair without knocking something over. I'll get over it though - I haven't stamped in so long I'm starting to forget what it is ;) - I need to just get to it and take some time to create - it'd prolly be a good stress-releiver LOL!

So ANYWHO - here's just a simple haul video - I actually got this and filmed it a couple weeks ago but haven't had the time to edit/upload/link/etc. And then of course it's all been sitting in a pile on my desk ever since :P. Ah well!

AmyR's 28 Week Update! VIDEO

I wanted to get this one posted too before I forget (which happens a lot lately :P). Forgive me if I come off a tad (prolly a LOT lol) sarcastic in this one - FYI if y'all knew me in "real" life you'd see I'm quite a sarcastic person (that's putting it mildly *wink*), and I prolly shouldn't have filmed this on a Monday morning (that started out rather rotten as Monday's generally tend to do) and had no coffee in my system LOL!!!

AmyR's 2013 Birthday Cards - Card 3

I haven't made any new cards in over a week - and not sure when I'll get the chance to :(. I mentioned in my earlier post that we've moved all my stamp stuff out of the room it was in and I'm still trying to get used to dealing with less than 1/2 the space I had. Even though it's only temporary 'till we get all the renovations done with my expanding size (I swear I knock into everything already LOL) and having WAY less space to work in I'm finding it rather difficult to make it all work!

Thankfully I still have a few video files on hand of cards I've made a while ago and just haven't had the time to edit and upload - this being one of them.

I was SO pleased with how this card turned out. It was just one of those times that everything "clicked" and came out exactly how I was picturing it in my head *grin*.

AmyR April '13 Stamps + Something NEW!!

Hey everyone! Even though it's April 1st this isn't a joke - AmyR stamps will now be available in rubber AND clear photopolymer stamps!!

I'm pretty excited about this as it will open up so many options with my sentiment stamps! Don't get me wrong I still love rubber stamps (and prefer rubber when it comes to images) but for sentiments clear is great in my opinion :) and less work to line up and fiddle with.

My clear set hasn't arrived yet but I'm sure I'll do a video to show it to y'all when it does get here :). I'm really excited to see them.

April's set is a somewhat "re-release" of my really old Wedding Sentiments set - I completely re-did it and made the stamps larger than the original (some of my old sets are just tiny LOL - time to re-work things!).

I hope you all had a great Easter weekend. For those that follow me on my Facebook page y'all know how mine went - just one thing after another. Depending on how my day goes hopefully I can get some videos filmed and maybe actually make a card or two. We've moved all of my stamp stuff out of the "studio" into another (much smaller) room so that we can start reno's so I've been busy trying to organize everything with way less storage space - and honestly it's been a bit of a pain. But I'll tell y'all about that later.
