Oy. I mentioned on my Facebook page that I was having a rough week (pay cuts, having to cancel a major trip, issues with other people, family drama, etc etc etc then of course all sorts of little insignificant things that pile up on top of it and become BIG deals when they're really not) - and then I worked straight through every day without having much of a break and/or time to eat. First world issues ;)
.
And now I'm paying for it LOL. I was fighting off getting sick but now it's all settling in. One can't go at a crazy pace forever (no matter how hard she tries to convince herself if she makes it to the weekend it will all be worth it! ;)) as it all comes to a head sooner or later. I was hoping for later - MUCH later....or just never...
.
Anywho - even though I feel like garbage now that I've had the nap I mention at the end of the video (lol) and some time to organize and deal some of life's little issues - I can get this video posted after getting all the links to all the goodies ;)
.
Not like I needed anymore Halloween stuff (or anymore stuff in general), but now I'm even more glad I ordered it all as it cheered me up to get that parcel at the post office (it's like Christmas - picking up a package just for me knowing there's goodies inside ;)).
.
Here's the video - sorry for the occasional sniffling :( I couldn't help it:
OK everyone here is card 6 :) I say it in the video but I'll mention it here too - the image I used is only available now as a digi image. I had the stamp so I used it - but it was retired and then released as a digi only. I don't "do" digi stamping (I prefer rubber/clear stamps - I just don't like having to fiddle with digi images) - maybe someday that will change...
.
Anywho here's the card:

I kept this one more on the simple side. Things have been rather hectic around here the past few days and I'm feelin' it. So I decided to go "simple" for this one before diving back in to the series ;)

If you missed any of the previous posts you can get to them by clicking the links above! :)

So this card will be the only one for a couple of days. I've been busy all day prepping for the business garage sale, then tomorrow me and my hubby will be there ALL day (fingers crossed I sell everything - I don't want to have to pack it all up and haul it all back again!). Then I work all day Friday - needless to say I'm looking forward to this week being DONE.
.
I filmed this card in like 2 or 3 parts. I only had time to do it in bits in pieces between everything that's going on - it felt rather chaotic compared to the first 3 LOL. I hope y'all enjoy it tho!

So far I'm on a roll ;) Hopefully I can keep it going - but FYI this week is SUPER-busy for me at work - I'm taking part in an all-day business garage sale. My hubby has taken the day off for the sale to help me as it's a big thing here in town. AND it's my first time participating - should be interesting.....
.
ANYWHO - I'm glad you guys are enjoying the series so far. I'm definitely having fun ;)
.
If you missed cards 1 and 2 you can get to them here:
I had planned to have already started my Halloween Series by now - but as usual I'm way behind.
.
I pulled out everything Halloween-related that I have the other day and started setting it all out to "get in the mood" for Halloween (as that's part of the problem. It's REALLY hard to get into it when I'm wishing it would just stay summer!) and that definitely helped.
.
Also I think part of it is the (self-imposed) pressure to out-do last years series. And that's rather daunting LOL. Even though I enjoy every minute of it it's a LOT of work and time to commit to - and I've been putting off starting b/c this year I KNOW what I'm getting myself into LOL!!
.
And since I've been getting questions and comments asking about what I plan on using I thought I'd take a few pictures. I did that last year and got a TON of questions asking where I got what - so this time I filmed a quick video and at the end of this post I tried to link to as many things as I possibly could.
.
*note* that this took a LOT of time - I've been collecting the links all week as I've had the time. And I'm sure there are more but this is all I've got for now.
.
*also note* that while I'm showing and listing all of this there's no guarantee that I'm going to use every single thing in a video - or even that I'll use certain things.
.
Now that I've got those little disclaimers out of the way here's the video:
I meant for this to go up earlier today but ended up with a sick kid and a sick husband. Sadly something's been going around here the past week or so and now 1/2 of my little family is out of commission (although my youngest seems to be handling it a LOT better than DH. But that's how it usually is isn't it ;)).
.
Needless to say none of the things I had planned to do got done today - including this post. But such is life! Now that everyone's in bed I can get a few things done before turning in myself.
.
So I've been asked a lot how I store my cardstock and what do I do with all the scraps. I thought it was high time to show all that as I just finished a bit of re-organizing over the weekend. I didn't change how I store my CS and scraps - that's been the same for years now - just where I had everything.
.
Anywho here are some pics and then a video to follow:
So I said it in the video but yeah...I wasn't "planning" on ordering more stuff, but there was a sale, and there were like *2* things I needed....and it turned into a MASSIVE patterned paper order. Isn't that how it always is?
And here are the links as promised (note that some don't lead to the OCS site - they're already sold out of some of what I got so I linked to ATS for some of it and CLD for the spooky tree die):
Someone else I know just had a baby recently and this time it was a girl - seems like lately everyone I know is having boys! So I had fun making a girly baby card for the new parents :)
.
If you missed my other baby card videos/posts you can find them here:
I get asked a LOT how I go about choosing patterned paper for my cards. So I filmed a video (somewhat) explaining how I do what I do. I don't know if it will help y'all but hopefully it does. I have a hard time explaining things I just DO and not really think about LOL!
So it's back-to-school week here and I had a bit of time between dropping the kids off at school and heading to work. So I filmed a video that's been requested a LOT lately.
So on Stampin' Up!'s site the tabletop cutter was listed (the big one) but they don't have a normal one shown - but there was a picture of it. Not sure what that's about. I haven't seen or tried the new one though so I can't technically recommend it but I'm sure it's good. I've always been happy with SU products.
So I've linked to a couple of Fiskars trimmers on SSS - obviously you can get these anywhere Fiskars product is sold. Especially if you're wanting to get one of the larger trimmers as most sites will charge extra for shipping. I recommend hitting up Michaels with a 40 or 50% off coupon to get one (that's what I plan on doing down the road when I decide to get a new trimmer).
Even thought it's *really* feeling like fall for me I still have some summer card ideas that I wanted to make and post. Today's card technically isn't a "summer" card but I included it with the series anyway.
