QUICK post today! I have to get my kids to school and head off to work in a few minutes!
I finally got a chance to sit down and stamp a quick little card yesterday. I decided to make a "general theme" card - no Christmas or Holiday or winter anything - just something for fun.
I pulled out my Paper Smooches Hot Concoctions set (which I LOVE - I *heart* anything coffee/tea themed when it comes to stamps - I don't know why but I do!) and make this simple card:
I paper-pieced the mug using patterned paper from the Echo Park A Walk in the Park 6x6 pack. I stamped it onto the patterned paper with Tuxedo Black ink, cut out the mug then used a craft knife to cut out the inside of the handle.
The "shadow" under the mug is a stamp from the Hot Concoctions set - it's meant to be the liquid inside one of the other cup stamps but as I was looking at it I thought it'd make the perfect shadow :). So I stamped that and the steam using Memento London Fog ink.
The sentiment is actually 2 separate stamps. The "you are" is from the PS Chit Chat set and the "one of a kind" is from the Word Salad set.
All the little patterned paper strips are from the Walk in the Park pad - I cut them at random, adhered them to the cardfront then wrapped a bit of Blossom Twinery Twine around and tied it in a bow.
On the inside of the card I couldn't resist paper-piecing several more mugs using a variety of the patterned papers.
Then I adhered them starting with the top one and working my way down to the bottom of the cardstock so that it looks like they're all stacked one inside of the other.
Have a great day everyone! I gotta run!!
