Hello everyone!
I have another card to share today using another one of the new CC Designs Laugh Lines characters:
I *heart* this Mermaid Laugh image (OK I *heart* all of them - they just make me smile) - and since it's a bit of a larger image I decided to make a larger card for it.
This one measures 5.5" square (shocker I know - I actually made a card that WASN'T standard A2! Actually the one I posted the other day wasn't A2 either...).
I used the new MME Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky papers that I was drooling over in my haul video yesterday and colored the mermaid to match.
The scalloped border was made with green cardstock and the CCD Dotty Trim die - I can't seem to stop reaching for that die - I am really loving it!
The ribbon is May Arts Textures. The primas and brads were pulled from my stash.
It's been so long since I stamped my coloring skills are pretty rusty. I botched several attempts at the hair (as I was determined to color it purple to match the paper) and finally decided to make it curly which just involves scribbling the color on. I was happy with that.
And of course I had to make her all shimmery - some Copic Spica pens did the trick.
The sentiments are from my All About You set. I stamped the YOU onto the patterned paper and embossed it with detail white embossing powder. The 'just for' was stamped onto green cardstock then punched out with my SU! Word Window punch.
I lined the inside of the card with a few of the different patterned papers. The huge 'Happy Birthday' is from the new CCD Laugh Lines Sayings set - I stamped it onto the patterned paper and embossed it with white EP as well. I love how big it is.
