Sometimes things just "click" and I call myself BRILLIANT - roflol!!! I was finishing this card last night and debating which sentiment to use from my new Mixed Messages set....I debated for a while - and then it hit me to use ALL of the ones in the same font - and to make them look like a sign post.
I thought it turned out pretty cool - a tad busy but it just works YKWIM?
I stamped all those words from Mixed Messages onto olive and mustard cardstock with Brilliance ink, trimmed them out and cut the ends of each with scissors.
The flower was made with wool felt and 2 of the smaller Spellbinders Dahlia dies. I attached it to the card with a silver snap that I set with my Crop-a-Dile (I haven't used that in MONTHS....).
This Swiss Pixie Abigail image is what I originally started with. I colored her in with Copics and paper-pieced her shirt and little suitcase.
I used my new MME Lime Twist Out of the Blue paper pad. Normally I'd use these papers for boy cards - but I thought they'd be cute with this character.
I used a Spellbinders Label 4 die to cut out the image then sponged the edges with light brown ink.
I followed the same layout on the inside of the card. This time I stamped Abigailwith light brown ink onto white cardstock, cut it out with a Label 4 die and sponged the edges.
The sentiment is from the Mixed Messages set - I cut it the same as the ones on the front before adhering it and that was it!
