Oh my week off has NOT gone like I was planning LOL! I ended up working a bit and have another client tomorrow, and today I need to head in to the city to get supplies and whatnot so I need to get this post done ASAP!
First off thanks for all the nice comments on my hair! I've been enjoying it so far (tho I'm not enjoying how it's faded already - red is SO hard to keep up - so I don't think it will stay like this for much longer - I don't have time to constantly be babying it to keep the color up...).
After 3 days of work the town finally finished with out water pipe - we now have part of our front hedge missing as well as a big chunk of our lawn, not to mention the sidewalk and the street. BLAH.....but at least we have running water!!
This was supposed to go up yesterday but my internet connection at home has been acting up (or maybe it's just my computer I don't know) and I couldn't get the post up - so here it is rather late than never!
Here's the card I made using JUST one of the sentiments from the soon-to-be-released AmyR Great Greetings set:
I pulled out my Basic Grey Hopscotch papers and buttons along with some matching cardstock and cut one of the patterned papers with the smaller of the TCP Pennants dies to make a little banner. Isn't it cute?
I adhered all the little flags then added some Caribbean twine - attaching the buttons over it to keep it in place.
This is one of the sentiments from the Great Greetings set (aka I made them on a larger scale so you can use them on their own on a card or however you choose). I stamped it with pigment ink then embossed it with detail white embossing powder.
I used a white gel pen to draw the border (before attaching the banner) then attached the kraft cardstock to the card base with dimensionals.
On the inside of the card I lined it with another one of the Hopscotch papers then added a piece of kraft cardstock that I stamped a verse from my Best Birthday Wishes set and again drew in the border.
The little strip with the "happy happy birthday to you" stamped on it was made with another stamp from the Great Greetings set - each large greeting is accompanied by a small line that you can either stamp with the large greeting or use on it's own like I did here.
OK that's it! I hope y'all liked my card and don't forget to check out the ATS blog post HERE <------click! to see what the DT made!
