That it's been WAY too long since I last posted - ROFLOL!!
****you can scroll down to the line if you don't want to read all my ramblings and just want to see the card! LOL****
We finally got nearly everything put together from our IKEA trip - there are only a couple of things left but they are going in the girls rooms (a desk for Veronica and a couple of dressers that I bought on a PREVIOUS IKEA trip that have been in their boxes sitting in the house for months now...) once we actually get their rooms done - that will be our next project. We have to repair walls - all the holes I put in the walls when I was using the spare room as my studio, the hole the girls put in their bedroom wall from flinging the door open (and removing the door stopper b/c apparently it was fun to play with), cleaning up and painting over all the marker, stickers and who knows what else Josie's put onto the wall all around her bed.
I was HOPING we could get their rooms ready before Veronica's birthday - but that's in less than a month and I don't know if we can get it all done in time....we'll see what happens.
I still haven't finished emptying the closet in the "old" studio to move everything into the new one - I'm getting there tho! I just had WAY too much stuff in there! And even with the 8-cube EXPEDIT unit I already had and meant to put it all in it's not big enough! So I'm stumped right now and still trying to figure out some organizing that I can do without buying anything else. I want to work with what I've got.
And then trying to fit in Zumba classes between my work schedule, Tim's work schedule and the girls has made things interesting as well. I try and take 3 classes a week (that's all that's available here right now - until I start teaching and that's if I DO for sure teach - it's another thing that will be dealt with in time) but it's hard sometimes. It's a priority for me though b/c this year I am determined to get in shape. I'm not as concerned with weight loss (although that will be fabulous if I do drop some pounds) as I am with getting more active and FEELING better. And Zumba's been doing that for me. I enjoy it and an hour goes by faster than anything else I've ever tried.
Anywho things have been crazy-busy and what little free time I've had has been spent taking quick naps as I've been exhausted!

I do have a card to share though! I made this a couple of weeks ago - before our trip to Edmonton:
I think I've already said how much I love the new Sweet November Fairytale stamps - I had to make another card with them - this time using the SN Isadora image.
I stamped her onto white cardstock and colored her in with Copics. I paper-pieced her dress (I did a post and video on paper-piecing here) with Basic Grey's Marjolaine's patterned paper.
The "grass" is made with a Martha Stewart punch - I used two pieces and layered them.
Now the SENTIMENT is what really made the card LOL! I knew I was going to use this "a little birdie told me..." sentiment from the new Critter Sentiments set - but I wasn't sure how. I fiddled around a bit but nothing seemed to look right.
I had my MFT Cloud Trio die sitting on the desk and after looking at it for a bit I thought why not try and stamp the sentiment onto the clounds? And it worked! I had to split the sentiment up and put them onto the two smaller clouds but that worked even better in my opinion! I used a pale clue Colorbox chalk ink to edge the clouds then adhered them with dimensionals.
Then on the inside of the card I used the matching sentiment from the Critter Sentiments set - this time stamping the whole thing onto the largest cloud image - turned out perfect! *hugs self*
All the patterned paper and the brads on the front are from the Marjolaine collection.
And that's it! Hope you guys likey and I'll be back (hopefully) SOON! :o)
