...especially since it rained and then snowed last night! Josie was SO excited when she woke up this morning and saw snow on the ground LOL!
SO what better than to just embrace the snow (no matter how much I would rather it held off 'till Christmas Eve!) and share a Christmas card:
I made this card over a month ago when we were posting sneak peeks of the new Sugarplums Christmas images. At the time I promised to eventually show the other cards I made - well eventually is now for this one LOL!
I stamped the Sugarplums Candle Emma image onto CCD CQ80lb cardstock with Memento ink then colored her in with Copics.
I paper-pieced her outfit with Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather papers, and then in a creative frenzy I re-stamped the image onto vellum and embossed it with white embossing powder. I THEN cut out only the little "overlay" of her outfit and adhered it just at the top (where the sash is). I paper-pieced the sash and adhered that on top and isn't the result fabulous?
It has so much dimension and adds a really neat touch!
*hugs self*
Sometimes I can be quite happy with how a card turns out LOL!
The snowflake was cut from vellum using the MFT Snowflake Trio die. I added some Stardust Stickles to it for some added sparkle which made the vellum curl a tiny bit (which I expected) and added a bit more dimension.
The ribbon is May Arts satin.
The sentiment is from the new Holiday Greetings set - I stamped it onto red cardstock with pigment ink and embossed it with white detail embossing powder before punching it out.
The sentiment used on the inside is also from the Holiday Greetings set. It was stamped and embossed with detail white EP as well.
