I have been wanting to use more of the stamps from the CC Designs Take a Seat Kit before it's no longer available (it's only available until September 20/2010) but I kept forgetting about it.
Then the other day there was something mentioned about it on the ATS Facebook page which spurred me on to pull out the stamps and I made this card:
I have several different Basic Grey collections sitting out on my desk right now - one of which is the Nook & Pantry collection - which I thought was perfect for this card :o)
I did a bunch of paper-piecing, the chair, rug and lamp were all stamped onto patterned paper then cut out and adhered over the original image.
The sentiment is from the Underwater Sentiments set (rather perfect for this card me thinks!) - I punched it out with one of my SU! punches.
I also paper-pieced Emma's sweater - LOVE how that turned out!
The rest of her was colored in with Copics.
I used more patterned paper from the Nook & Pantry for the cardfront and made it to look like a wall and floor.
Finally on the inside I added more patterned paper, and stamped another chair onto the same pattern I used on the front, cut it out, shaded it a bit with the grey copics and adhered it and that was it!
Oh and FYI this is a standard A2 (4.25x5.5") card - I've been getting questions about my card sizes lately and unless I say otherwise they're A2 size. I don't often stray from this size of card!
