Hey everyone!
I have been enjoying having a break from work - and I'm sad that I've only got one day left before I have to get back to the "daily grind" lol.
Anywho - I met Makeesha on Wednesday morning and did her nails. I had a GREAT time meeting her and it was so fun to be able to "talk shop" with a fellow stamper - I haven't done that in a long time (and I really miss that!) - my only regret is that I didn't have MORE time with her!!
Here's a pic I had my next client take of us when she arrived (she thought we were crazy with all our stamping talk and our cameras - the look on her face when Keesh asked her if she knew how to take a "scrapbook shot" was priceless):
And as if meeting her and doing her nails wasn't enough she gave me some gifts she'd brought with her from Australia:
Notice the little koala clipped to my light? He's earned a permanent spot there at my desk. (and OMG those Tim Tams were AWESOME - I am actually glad we can't get them in Canada (and if you CAN don't tell me!!) b/c I would gain back every pound I've lost so far and then some)
There was also this kangaroo that's also sitting near my desk now :o) And the little flip-flop keychain was PERFECT (thank you Keesh!!) - I've been needing something a little more "bulky" to attach to my work keys - I have my blingy "A" which I love but it's not big enough. I have a tendency to misplace my keys (a LOT - I lose them pretty much every other day). Y'all should see my car keys - with all the keychains and whatnot I have attached to them they're now a handful (which drives my husband crazy but it's nearly impossible now for me to lose them *wink*).
So yeah that flip flop keychain from Australia came in too handy - it's harder for me to misplace with the bright color!!
I really enjoyed meeting up with a fellow stamper - like I said I don't get to "talk shop" or meet up with other stampers very often (and I LOL'd when Makeesha arrived after driving several hours through Saskatchewan and told me how she finally "gets" my tagline that says 'stamping away in the middle of nowhere') so I definitely enjoyed every minute with Keesh.
Hopefully someday we can make the trip to Australia (I am actually hoping we can save up and take the girls there someday - that would be the trip of a lifetime) and we can meet up again!!
