I uploaded this video to my YouTube account over a week ago before going on vacation and finally got a chance to finish adding the info, annotations etc etc so here it is:
The sentiments are from my Big Words and Handy Additions sets. After stamping them I trimmed them out and rounded the bottom edges of the cardstock before adhering it to the card.
I kept the inside of the card simple. I really like this polka-dot patterned paper and didn't want to cover it up so I lined the inside of the card with it and left it as is :o)
STAMPS: Balloonabella by Stamping Bella, AmyR Stamps Big Words and Handy Additions sets.
CS: CCD Copic Quality White, SU Pink Pirouette, American Crafts I Heart You Patterned Papers.
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers, SU Melon Mambo Ink.
ACCESSORIES: Spellbinders Oval and Scalloped Oval Dies, AC I Heart You Ribbon, Prima, DoodleBug Sugarcoated brad, Stardust Stickles.
Here's the latest sketch - I'm still on vacation (well we'll be heading back today) but once I'm back and settled in I can't wait to see what y'all have come up with!

I'm still in Vegas - we leave tomorrow. I had planned on pre-posting all of this week but time had got away from me and I didn't have any time during the week to post anything (too busy seeing the sights here in Las Vegas of course...)
I just wanted to say Hi and let y'all know that there will still be a new Friday Sketch tomorrow (that is ONE post I DID have done and pre-posted!), and that I'll get more up soon. I had to pay for internet access for one day here at the hotel (the hotel we stayed at in Great Falls before flying out advertised "FREE Wi-Fi" which was a joke - I couldn't access the 'net for the life of me - which sucked b/c I had plenty of time then to post!) but I am WAY too tired right now to attempt to post any of my cards and whatnot.
Vegas is fun but there was no way I could stay up 'till 5 am like most people. I wake up like clockwork before 6 am every morning (thanks to kids and a full time job!) and even here I've been waking up early, I try to sleep in but it doesn't help - so by midnight/1 am I am EXHAUSTED.
I am glad we're leaving tomorrow, with this weekend being a long weekend in the US it's already getting REALLY crowded and crazy on the Strip. I don't like nutsy crowds like this - so I'm thankful we missed most of that during out trip!
I will have a few pics and whatnot to share - plus more cards and whatnot as usual - I thankfully have a day or two off after we get home before I start work again so I can hopefully get some of that up!!
Eeeek! As I'm typing up this post I have only a few hours left to finish packing and then get to bed as we're leaving for Vegas TOMORROW!
Now that we're getting to crunch time I'm getting excited. I worked like a crazy-person for the past couple of weeks trying to fit everyone in, and now I'm done and get to go on our trip - so exciting!
Anywho - here's the card I made for the latest Friday Sketch:
I used the new Special Day set for this card - I just think it's one of the cutest little wedding sets!
I stamped the cake image from the set onto CCD White Cardstock then colored it in with Copic Markers.
To give the icing a little "texture" I basically just dotted all over the yellow areas with my colorless blender.
ACCESSORIES: Kioshi Stitched Brad, Prima Flowers, Ribbon, Stickles, Spellbinders Circle and Scalloped Circle Dies, Kioshi Ribbon Doilies, Dimensionals.
I'm going to have to start calling it "Late-Friday Sketch" or "Saturday Sketch!" I'm thinkin' LOL! I just can't get enough time to get everything done that I want!
Anywho here is the newest sketch - AND this time I FOR SURE have a sample I will be posting - as I made a card a few weeks ago that inspired this sketch so for once I am a leetle ahead of the game LOL!
Here's the sketch:

Here is the much-requested video I promised showing how I store my unmounted stamps!
I filmed this weeks ago and as usual just got done editing and uploading - enjoy!
(and FYI if the quality is fuzzy just wait an hour or so and come back to watch it - when it's fresh from uploading it takes a while for YouTube to process it then when that's done the quality improves)
Just had to pop in and say THANK YOU for all the awesome comments on my new hair!!
Reading them all totally made my day!!
I hafta say I really am loving the new 'do - it's a lot more fun now. I actually wore pigtails yesterday LOL and they looked CUTE! I haven't been able to do that for years - with the length and the dark hair it just looked weird - same with a simple ponytail.
Change is good - and sweet and thoughful comments are just icing on the cake :o)
I started to mass produce a dozen cards when I was at the stamping retreat a few weekends ago - I didn't get them all done when I was there but it took less than an hour to finish them when I got home:
I wanted to make a bunch of cards with my new Manicurabellas stamp (of course I HAD to own that as soon as I saw it *grin*) and decided to make several that people can buy when they buy a gift certificate from my salon. That way they've got the perfect card to present the gift certificate in!
All the patterned paper is from the Basic Grey Kioshi paper pad. I used almost all scraps for these cards - I had a pile of them sitting on the table and just used them up and cut up more strips as I went along.
The buttons and the brads are also from the Kioshi line.
The ribbon is May Arts - I used green on half and purple on the other half (and half the card bases are green and the other half are purple - I had to mix it up a teeny bit!).
I stamped a dozen of the Manicurabellas images onto two sheets of CCD White Cardstock then colored them in with Copics - that part took the longest. Honestly I didn't try to make them look perfect as that would have taken WAY too long - but they still had to look cute!
I didn't take a pic of the markers like I normally do but here's the ones I used:
The sentiment is actually from my Christmas Sentiments set LOL! I stamped it in black onto some of the more solid colors in the patterned paper pack then punched it out with my SU! Word Window punch.
Man I didn't get ANY stamping done over the weekend!! *pouting*
There was too much to do, and today I was planning on it - but I've had a mild headache and have been concentrating on it NOT becoming a migrane - which means I def. haven't been in a crafty mood *doublepout*.
However I do have somethin' to share - I mentioned I was getting my hair done on Saturday - and it's a little different:
before:
It's been the same color for oh - over 3 years now? Just dark brown. And when it was straightened it was halfway down my back (which everyone told me was SO gorgeous but it was SUCH a pain to deal with on a daily basis - I have only straightened it once in MONTHS b/c it took me an HOUR - so I've just left it curly and pinned up the bangs every day for ever).
If you've been reading my blog for some time you'll know that I don't have a lot of spare time (if any) anymore - and styling my hair is low on the priority list. Heck getting a regular trim was low on the priority list - the one I got a couple of weeks ago was the first one in about a year? Sad I know....
SO - I really wanted a change:
I think I achieved it :o)
I just told my hairdresser to do whatever she wanted- I didn't care! Well I told her to chop it all off LOL. I think that scared her a bit as I wanted to take it right up to chin-length - so she compromised and cut off a LOT, layered it a ton all around, stripped off the old color and dyed it red and added the blonde highlights.
Only took 3 1/2 hours and voila! I still might get more chopped off - it's just hair so it grows back. But being able to put it in a ponytail is nice (and SO nice to put it in a CUTE ponytail!! It was so long before that pulling it back wasn't pretty - there was so much hair that it was always limp and blah). Also it'll be so nice to have all the layers and easy-to-do hair for summer - I was starting to dread having to deal with that ton of hair in the hot weather.....
As usual the Friday Sketch will be late!! I am hoping to have it up tonight - but I think Tim's brother and sister-in-law are coming out this weekend - so I've got no clue what's going on (which is pretty standard for me *wink*).
also have to work a bit tomorrow (normally I don't work Saturdays but I have a masseuse coming out to work in my salon for the day which I am SOOOOO excited about b/c I am getting a much needed massage! YAY!) and I've got a hair appointment later on tomorrow - really excited about that too! I haven't really done anything with my hair for a couple of years now - it's been the same for WAY too long....
I never got my sample made for LAST weeks sketch either - but I've had the whole card planned out in my head all week - and I'll get to make it this weekend!
First off I just wanted to say thanks to you guys for all the advice and whatnot regarding our trip to Vegas in less than 2 weeks!
Any e-mails and such I will try to return this weekend - I am swamped with work and other stuff and can't even think straight at the moment!! And it doesn't help that my e-mail inbox is a pit of no-return........I hate to admit it but there are times I've replied WEEKS and even MONTHS after an e-mail was sent - sorry if that was you!! I've toyed with the idea of setting up a separate account just for this blog and whatnot - but I've already got 2 accounts going (my personal one and one I use for ATS stuff) and not sure if I can handle a 3rd!
ANYWHO here's a card I finished on the retreat a couple weeks ago - the image was already colored (and when I get time I'll link to the original post and the other cards as they all tie in together!) so all I had to do was put the card together!
The sentiment is from my Spring Sentiments set - stamped onto one of the patterned papers from the AC collectionI got months ago then punched out with a Stampin' Up! punch.
I stamped the Bella onto CCD White cardstock(Memento ink) then colored her in with Copic markers.
Later on when I made the card I added Stickles to the kleenex box for a little bling!
The brads are Sugar-Coated Bradsfrom DoodleBug, Primas are from my stash and the ribbon is May Arts Satin.
I lined the inside of the card with more patterned paper then die cut another circle and scalloped circle.
I stamped another sentiment from the Spring Sentiments set and punched it out as well and that was it!
Gotta run - I had a client call wanting to come in earlier so I gotta be at work in 10 minutes!
I made this card WEEKS ago - and filmed the videos WEEKS ago (maybe even a month ago? I can't even remember anymore) - and finally got the chance to edit and upload the videos.
I have a LOT going on as usual - and actually more so right now as I've got a ton to get done in less than 2 weeks.
**scroll down to the dotted line if you want to skip all my personal chit chat!**
Why you ask?
Well May 26th is Tim and my anniversary - we got married on our 5 year anniversary in 2005 - so this makes the big 5(married) and 10(together)!
I've been saving up for months hoping we could go on a trip somewhere. We booked the last week of this month off - and have been shopping around for places to go......a lot of the places we'd LIKE to go are way out of our price range - or more than I want to spend on a trip.
SO - we're going to Vegas!!! ROFLOL!!
I'm actually insanely excited - I just want to go shopping *grin*. And we're actually driving down across the border into the US and taking a plane from there - it's WAY cheaper (like a good $1000 cheaper - even with the cost of gas it's insanely cheaper!) AND I get to shop at Target before we drive back home and not have to worry about weight restrictions and baggage - that alone is making me giddy LOL!
Anywho since we'll be IN Vegas 2 weeks from now that means I have a lot of stuff to do before we go - and that's in between the girls school schedule, my work at my salon, Tim's schedule and all the house and yardwork.....
I used my new Gossipabella image - and since I hadn't yet made a video showing how I colored in my Bella's with Copics I decided to film one (and FYI it's not one of my greatest videos - I was SO tired when I filmed it and the lighting wasn't the greatest! One of these days I'll try to make a better quality one for y'all).
I used one of my Circle Nestabilities Dies to cut out the Bella - and omitted the phone from being cut off. Since that is something that has been requested a lot of me to show how to do I made another quick video to demonstrate:
The sentiments are from the Big Words & Handy Additions sets. I stamped the 'hello' onto a scrap of patterned paper then the 'chica!' in the lower corner of it in black.
I used my SU! Key Tag punch to punch out the sentiment then adhered it to the card with dimensionals.
