Tim managed to make it to work (I still can't fathom why he bothered - in this weather I doubt anyone would be out to buy a vehicle - he's a salesman at the local GM dealership - but anywho....) later in the morning today.
Side note - the dealership is on the highway just on the edge of town here - so whenever the weather is bad they pretty much get it full force. The wind was so bad today that one of the entrance doors (all metal and glass) was ripped right off it's hinges.
When he came home for lunch he took my camera out (again I wasn't too sure about that decision either - it was still REALLY windy - still is - and snow blowing - but he insisted - and my camera is getting old and just mebbe if he broke it I'd be able to get a newer one *wink* - but he didn't break it) - and got a few shots of the front yard and side yard.
I took one picture of the back yard - from the comfort of the living room through the window LOL!
Here's what it looks like today:
That's about a 4 foot or higher drift. There was NO snow anywhere here yesterday - it's April!
And now the backyard:
Josie's been bugging me ALL day to let her go out and play in the snow. She got her toque out and said she's wear her ski pants and boots. She wasn't too impressed with me for saying no. She doesn't understand that with this wind (still gusting up to 100km and hour!) she'd prolly get blown away!
