Sorry for the lack of posts (again!).
I was actually away all weekend from Friday 'till Monday.
My mom and I travelled to Edmonton for a tanning expo related to my work at the salon (even though I'm the owner/operator/one woman show at my salon having my mom in the same building helps LOL! I help out at the coffee shop when she needs it and she helps me out when I need it - she was in esthetics for over 10 years before buying the coffee shop so she knows her stuff....)
And of course since both of us never get away we took a 4-day weekend and hit up CrossIron Mills on the way there (that mall is MASSIVE - and we got so many amazing deals!! Some of the outlet stores had unbelievable prices - it was pretty fun!), thenWest Edmonton Mall on Saturday (that was a dumb day to go there - by noon the mall was packed and we didn't have much fun there - it was just way too crowded and that really stresses me out - I don't find shopping fun when I literally have to push my way though a crowd just to get in to a store - and then you get IN the store and it's just as crowded! Blah!!!) and Southgate Center after that (another mall - this one MUCH nicer than WestEd and way less crowded).
Sunday was the Expo - it was an all day thing as we were signed up for a course and had an exam to write at the end of it.
THEN on Monday before we headed home we went to IKEA (of course!). I've been there several times - but Mom has never been. So I had all the fun stuff to show her (for me though I was exhausted - I did a good 20 hours of driving this weekend then all the walking and shopping and the expo and course and exam - I STILL can't think straight!! So I didn't go too nuts at IKEA - I just wanted to go HOME!) - then we headed home.
It was a fun trip. I had hoped to post a few things over the weekend but my 'net access was SUPER-limited - we stayed with my brother-in-law and his wife in their new home - and my laptop was having issues connecting to the 'net at their house and usually by the time I COULD get access to post I was too tired to do it!
SO - I have to work today but I will be back! :o)
