**This is TOTALLY non-stamping related FYI!! Just thought I'd share since 99% of my readers are women and at least some of y'all might enjoy this post LOL!!**
OK here are just a couple of pics of just SOME of the cool things I bought this weekend.
First off I got a bunch of cheap jewellery from Forever 21 and Aldo (I LOVE Forever 21 for it's cheap accessories - I don't care for the clothing - I find it TOO cheap and haven't yet seen anything that I would actually wear - but love all the rings and other goodies!):
Those big flowers are all rings - and they're huge - and I love them LOL. They were all like $7 each or less!!
That blingy butterfly is a little hair clip - mom found it in one of the bins at Forever 21 and I had to have it since she doesn't wear things like that in her hair. I couldn't resist :o)
The necklace and set of three little earrings are also from Forever 21 - I paid less than $5 for the earrings, and the necklace was like $6 I think?
The Aldo stuff I LOVE - especially the earrings!! I've worn the white pair already (which are my FAVORITE - and you'll see why when you scroll down) and think they are the cutest earrings ever!
Now here's the stuff I was most excited over this weekend:
SHOES!!! Fabulous SHOES!!! LOL
I wasn't planning on getting any "fun" shoes - but all 4 pairs were priced so ridiculously low I HAD to get them!!
The white pair is my absolute favorite - I found them in Winners (I NEVER shop at Winners - I never find anything and don't have to time to search for anything. Mom dragged me in there b/c she's a Winners junkie - she's TINY (she's 4 or 5 inches shorter than me and she's like a size 0 so everything fits her and there's always her size left!) - so she always finds designer clothes and shoes for dirt cheap there).
ANYWHO - so I found those white shoes and even though they're technically a size smaller than what I wear they fit - and they are amazing and I had to have them! They have wicked high heels (close to 5" I think?) but are actually pretty comfy (there's a hidden platform under the toe area so that helps)- I dunno I don't have a problem with heels. I actually love wearing heels - the higher the better. I'm already considered pretty tall (I'm 5'8") so I find nothing wrong with making myself even taller LOL!
(can you tell I LOVE shoes?? I could go on and on and on!) - anyway that's why I love those white rose earrings - they match the shoes!!
The black pair I also got at Winners - they're Steve Madden and I got those for a really good price too - and they are COMFY!! I wore them on Saturday to the Expo and had no trouble with them.
The PINK pair are just fun. They're JLo's (I didn't even know she had a shoe line) and I stumbled across them at one of the outlet stores - the bottoms are really slick on them so I'll hafta fix that before I actually wear them (you can either put a strip of duct tape on the bottom of the shoes or put some silicone caulking (letting it dry of course) on the bottoms to give them some "grip" when you walk - works like a charm. There are actually little adhesive pads you can buy at shoe stores that do the same thing but why buy something when you prolly have either duct tape or caulking (or both!) at home already?).
The best part about the JLo's is that they were originally a $120 pair of shoes and I got them for under $20!!
Finally the last pair is just a cute pair of platforms that mom found at Spring and said I had to buy them b/c #1 they were cute (they have little bows on the back of the straps) and #2 they were on sale and #3 the store was knocking another like 30% off the sale price. So I bought them.
That and I think I had to buy all the crazy shoes so that mom could live vicariously through me. Ever since her foot has healed from her breaking it all those months ago all she can wear is flats. She's not even sure she'll ever be able to wear heels again (which sucks - people think I'M addicted to shoes - if they could only see all of hers - and her feet are 2 sizes smaller than mine so we can't even share - she has TONS of shoes) - so I got all of those. There was no voice of reason between us - we both egged each other on - it was horrible LOL. She did find some really cute pairs of flats though (a good thing flats are so in style lately - you can get so many cute ones) so she was happy and got her shoe fix too LOL!
And yes my husband thinks I'm crazy but he's finally starting to realize that he's just wasting energy when it comes to me and my shoes. He also knows that I'm not dumb enough to pay full price for anything (UNLESS it's something I NEED that has to be good quality and fit properly - like running shoes and the like - but even then I'll try to find them on sale!) AND now that I have a salon to work at I can actually WEAR all the crazy footwear I buy - whereas before when I was a stay-at-home mom all my crazy shoes (that I would hide in the closet underneath everything else *wink*) were pretty much pointless.
But yeah that's it for my goodies. I did get some clothes (got more great deals at the outlets!!) and whatnot but I already put them away so I'm not digging them out to take pics of (besides that would be boring - clothes don't tend to look good unless they're being worn and I'm not in the mood to model anything after working all day......) and a couple of things at IKEA but nothing exciting (not exciting like SHOES anyway!!).
WOW I really do tend to ramble eh??
Have a happy night everyone! I promise I'll post somethin' "stampy" related soon!! *grin*
