I'm trying to scarf down a sandwich and type up this post at the same time before I run off to work - needless to say it's not going to well LOL!
I had a last-minute cancellation this morning (which normally drives me nuts as I end up being stuck at work and losing time (and money!)) - but today I knew EXACTLY what I was going to do with my free time!
I've had the idea for this card in my head since yesterday - I didn't have a clue that today was St. Patrick's Day - I never remember that kind of stuff. But then a client reminded me, and then later when I was thinking about stamping (when I got off work late last night I WANTED to stamp - but I was too exhausted!) I remembered that I had bought theGoodluckabella image FOREVER ago.
I actually don't know if I've EVER used it before!
Anyway - I had that image in my head, and an A Muse sentiment stamp that I had bought to GO with the bella image - again forever ago - and then my mind started spinning and I remembered I had bought all that Basic Grey Origins papers and brads and whatnot with my latest haul..........
So when I rushed home here's what I created:
I stamped the bella onto CCD White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her in with my Copics.
I then cut the image out with one of my petite oval dies, and matted that with a scalloped oval that I cut from one of the Origins papers.
The sentimentwas stamped onto another pf the patterned papers in the set then punched out with SU's oval punch before being adhered with dimensionals.
The ribbon is May Arts - I used my MM Ribbon Slot Punch to punch a hole through the main image to thread the ribbon through.
I had THE bestest idea for the Primas - I dug through my stash and attached several in light green and green/yellow hues, and then I took 3 green primas and cut off one of the petals so that they looked more like 4-leaf clovers!!
*hugs self in satisfaction*
I attached them with 3 green brads from the Origins pack and that finished off the card! :o)
I kept the inside of the card super-simple. I REALLY like this one pattern from the Origins pack - I used the one piece on the front of the card and cut down the second piece for the inside of the card.
I didn't want to cover it up and it's light enough to write over so I left it as is.
OK that's it! I finished my sandwich and now I gotta head back to work!
