Well I am proud to say I have the last load of laundry in the dryer right now - dreaded Saturday wasn't as bad as it usually is (which I will definitely give credit to Tim for - he helped out a lot with the cleaning and organizing this weekend!).
I am also proud to say that not only did I squeeze in a little stamping time tonight but that I also finished a card in that time - so yay me LOL!
Here's what I made:
Isn't he the cutest little thing you've ever SEEN???? I got both this Bunny Hansel and the Spring Birgitta images in the mail a couple of weeks ago and when I was going through my stamps tonight I saw this one and HAD to use it.
I stamped him onto CCD White cardstock with Memento ink then colored him in with Copic markers.
I used a couple of Spica glitter pens on the ears and on his wings but there was no way I could pick up the sparkle on camera - it's already subtle to begin with and when you try to take pics at night it just don't work!
I also added some clear glaze to the paint on the brush but you can't see that either :o(
I trimmed around the image with scissors - if you haven't seen it you can check out my video on trimming out images here.
I used my labels 9 dies to cut out the patterned paper (more from the MME Quite Contrary line that I picked up at my LSS a few weeks ago) and adhered the image to that.
Rather than come up with a new layout I followed my latest Friday sketch and used that for the layout of the card (part of the reason I was able to get the card done tonight - I didn't have to waste time coming up with a layout!).
The sentiment is from my Spring Sentiments set - it was made to go with all the Sugarplums Spring Kids images - but obviously you can use it for pretty much anything :o)
Anywho I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap of cardstock and cut it out with the smallest of the labels 9 dies (I FINALLY got to use the teeniest die! Some of them are SO small - but using them to cut out a small sentiment or word generally works!) then attached it with a dimensional.
I finished off the inside of the card with more pieces of the MME patterned paper and I cut out a piece of white cardstock with a scalloped rectangle nestability die and that was it!

I need to get my laundry finished now so I can get to bed!
Tomorrow I'm driving to Kindersley (nearly an hour away) to work at a salon there for the day. I'll be doing my teeth whitening and gel nails and some sugaring (body hair removal) there and we'll see how it goes! The plan is for me to go out there on Mondays every couple of weeks or so (as I don't work Mondays at my salon).
So that's just another thing I'm up to - it should be interesting!
