Here's the sample I made for Friday Sketch! #49:
I pulled out my Warm & Cozy and Wardrobe Sentiments set to make this card. This is also for Wednesday's Paper Piecing Challenge over on the ATS blog (I made this sample on Wednesday but liked how the layout turned out so I saved it for today's sketch!).
I stamped the bunnyhug (I know some people call it a hoodie - it's ALWAYS been called a bunnyhug around here!) onto 2 different papers from the BGGranola pack and paper pieced the hood, pocket and trim.
I used a dark brown marker to fill in the "inside" - that was quicker than piecing that part as well.
After the bunnyhug was done I adhered it to the mat with dimensionals.
The sentiment is from my Wardrobe Sentiments set - the Hey Dude stamp is on one line so I inked up the words separately to get them onto 2 lines before punching it out with a 3/4" circle punch.
I matted the sentiment with a 7/8" circle punch, then used a Making Memories page pebble (I have a bunch of them in my stash - I was told some time ago they were discontinued).
The pebble ended up being exactly 3/4" so it worked perfectly!
I added a couple of Granola buttons and some May Arts Twill, did a little paper piercing around the patterned paper and that was it.
On the inside I just lined it with cardstock and the same papers used on the front.
I was going to stamp the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Wardrobe Sentiments set but decided to just leave it blank - that way I can use the card for any occasion :o)
